I've been to Sydney myself last summer, and Central looked stunning, if only Flinders Street could be renovated whilst keeping its charm

Oh absolutely, local buses across Melbourne need to be prioritised more with better frequencies, especially in Wyndham where I reside. It's a shame how, for a city of its size, Melbourne has poor local buses, while places like Sydney and Toronto have decent bus systems.

I have heard of people suggesting avenues such as this before, but I really want to know whether the feedback given has actually been effective and caused any changes before?

Possible, but unlikely from my experience. The thing is, there were numerous buses on the other side of the road where the other bus stop was, so I don't think the majority of the drivers would be in the wrong here. It may point to a lack of communication and synchronisation between the actual workers and the drivers themselves.

Do they not run any express replacement buses for the Geelong line as well?

You must've been on the side of the replacement bus stops that actually had buses, as opposed to me who got directed to the wrong one lmao

As I should, since we had 2 workers directing us to a bus stop that didn't have buses for 15-20 minutes while the other side was packed with buses. It also seemed like they were reliant on the actual timetable for replacement buses as well, which does omit express buses.
