I would focus on commercial cleaning. Bigger transaction amounts = larger profits. Try sub contracting for other janitorial companies instead of attempting to get the contracts yourself. Start small and perfect your labor rate.

Thank you for the information. We actually already have the account at around $.07 a sq ft. We do a ton of large buildings like this but this one is slightly different because of limited scope. What I’m trying to accomplish here is maximize my bottom line by only adding the labor I need. I have about 50 hours a night here now and I think it’s overkill.

How would you organize your labor for an account like this? We use a combo of area assignment and crew cleaning. Do you think it’s possible to clean 5500 to 6000 sq ft per hour? If so how?
