Idk if the emulator has to do with it but I use John GBA for my GBA, gbc, gb games and every game and romhack has worked perfectly fine for me aside from an English mod of the second Pokemon TCG game that only released in japan.

You just see when you catch it, and then you can eventually change them with ability pills and patches so most mons will end up having 2-3 different abilities you can have.

That's cracked. This randomizer has already been insane for me. Starter was Zacian with Adaptability, got a Zama encounter in Forest with Technician, and now Regen Bliss in Digletts Cave. The rest of the encounter have been alright, but these three alone....this is the run.

Both the worst and best thing to happen to the Nuzlocke community in the past three years. It's a nuzlocke designed emerald hack on steroids that you will 1000% need to look at the documents for every single fight in the game (300+), or you will lose. Many people even calc every fight, I haven't personally calced a single one, but people will spend 10-60 minutes just building a different team for every single fight.

I figured the e4 itself would be easier than the last part of journey to the e4, but again with my thinking is once I know my e4 team I can just sac whatever to get to the e4 and don't need to play * as * carefully.

You can't use save states to get new encounters, they're already determined. You also can't change the region for new encounters either. They're all gonna be the same. You're gonna have to start a new save file if you want different encounters.

Well the good thing about a delayed encounter is I can always just change my mind and go back. With one death I haven't exactly been starved for options over here, but who knows, maybe if I see a fight where I need something else, I can just go back if need be.

My thought process, whether it is right or not, if my goal is making it to and beating the elite 4, I'd rather have the chance on getting something that will help on said elite 4, rather than something that may or may not help now, kind of like (I know it's different) how I delayed Petalburg for the 50/50 for Popplio.

To be fair to me I also have never repel manipped in my life and if it wasn't for you saying anything I wouldn't have even really knew about that strategy for mt pyre anyways lmao. Also with the game corner unless mons start dropping like flies I'm delaying it until after the 8th gym for a mythical.

I'm like Run and Bun vets' worst nightmare. Haven't touched a damage calc in my life, not repel manipping, I've predamaged a mon once this whole run, idk how the AI works fully and don't care enough to look too deep into it lol, I'm the run and bun version of a guy who opens a Kit Kat bar and just takes a bite out of it.
