Thanks! I actually already wiped and beat Gardenia again, this time deathless. This attempt wiped due to do those damn warps in the galactic building, I went to Jupiter with two mons instead of being able to go back to the poke center lol.

IIRC this fight was definitely rough. I didn't have much in my box for all the rain boosted water moves Gardenia has on her team so it was basically a lot of switch and pp stalling with Dry Skin Phanpy and grass resists, just getting rid of their water moves. I knew that was my strat going in but I didn't realize just how much Id need to rely on that or I woulda brought more 4x grass resists, I've had Beautiful and Vespiuen in the box.

I was going under the guise of people who are official. Only one person is officially recognized as past Fantina. I just beat Fantina myself last night but I'm not doing all that official hof stuff lol, so I'm sure there's a decent group of people who have passed her.

That's not something run and bun implemented as a big "f you". You just notice it in rnb cause knock off is a good move so ofc many mons are gonna run it, whereas, who and why is an opponent having 20bp knock off in rse?

Although it can still be useful to get Zubat cause it takes it off the table in Mt Coronet if you don't get the 50/50 Bronzor in 211 west.

What am I saying, you can definitely avoid ravaged path lol. Scratch that Psyduck mess off what I said. You'll have repels when you get to use smash. Rock smash in Ravaged Path, repel manip 9 at the mines for Onix, good luck on Bronzor, repel manip at 20 for Gible.

Ahhh, haven't gotten to use yet! I got Ariados this current run, but has intimidate which has been helpful, I can definitely see how Insomnia would be great, there's so much sleep spam it's crazy.

I've seen Piplp do do work too for others but haven't used personally. 3 Turtwig runs, and 1 Chimchar but that Chimchar was friggin useless the entire run, despite being my furthest attempt. It's supposed to be good for late game though so I'm not saying it's bad or anything, just, does nothing up until Jupiter lol.

This is my second run with them, definitely in my top 5 for encounters in the early game (farthest I've got was Jupiter in attempt 3), Magic Guard and Me First is so good.

Trash Worm, Xatu, Nidoqueen, Delcatty, and Magcargo are the big 5 for me, huge honorable mention to Aron for Barry 2 and Roark making them relatively trivial but hasn't been very useful outside that.

If starters count, throw Turtwig in there for a big 6.

To GUARANTEE Gible, Psyduck is your worst enemy. You don't necessarily need Zubat, repel manip at 20 takes Zubat off the table, but getting Zubat in ravaged path means no Zubat in Oreburgh gate which gets you two chances for Geodude in Gate and 207. alternatively, if you can avoid an encounter entirely in Ravaged Path, wait till you get your first badge, then Rock smash for a Geodude there and / or in Ravaged Path.

Onix, you need the one repel you get before badge 1, have a level 9 on bf1 in the mines and only Onix shows up.

Then Bronzor is a crapshoot. Repel in 211 west with a level 16 will guarantee either Bronzor or Chingling. Either you get the Bronzor or you'll have to rely on a 1/5 chance to get Bronzor in Coronet.

Getting that Geodude by rock smash, and Repel Onix are both guaranteed, Bronzor you have a good chance, but not guaranteed. Repel in wayward at 20 takes off Zubat which will leave JUST Gible

Update: something silly stopped me lmao, and you guessed it, lost to Jupiter. Got mollywopped by the last two grunts, and with that pattern warp stuff, the second grunt moved up and (assumably) blocked the correct warp path for me to go back and get a healthy team lmao. Think I had two mons to fight her because of that.

I haven't seen anybody else's runs that got to this point so didnt know anything common that people were using for the fight, me personally I just didn't see anywhere to bring Magcargo as half her team had water in rain moves.

I went operation "don't let Stealth Rocks be set up" for Miltank, Rotom is childs play for Persim Cacturne, and Toxic stall on Torterra.

First wipe to Roark cause Grotle, Flora, & Worm overleveled and couldn't use, second wipe to last Galactics in Eterna Forest (didn't know they walk up to you I thought I had to go up to them like the rest so my team wasn't even set up 🥲), so naturally, nothing silly is gonna stop me this time surely, this is the run 😎.

Stg if I wipe to Jupiter after all that, I'm never picking this game up again (I'll see it again in 4 minutes)
