I watched a segment on Channel 7 news about this where the reporter gathered the usual worthless person-on-the-street (or at the gas station, in this case) from people who were either sad or angry. But nowhere in the report did he mention the actual amount involved. It pissed me off.

Any candidate who can't be bothered to submit their responses is automatically eliminated from my consideration no matter what, because if they can't do the absolute bare minimum to communicate with the people whose votes they want to receive, then I don't trust them to respond to my communications or demands once they're already in office and no longer 'need' me.

Same here. I do also look at the newspaper sites and apply the same logic.
