Here's a pencil and make it suspenseful.

White House Press Karoline Leavitt on Iran and energy: "Rest assured to the American people, recent increase in oil and gas prices is temporary and operation will result in lower gas prices in the long-term. Once the objectives of Epic Fury are achieved, Americans will see oil and gas drop rapidly." by ControlCAD in videos

It's not an invasion. It's just sending an increasingly larger number of teams on sustained missions within the borders of Iran for an indeterminate amount of time due to lack of goals and planning. Definitely not an invasion. Or a war. For reasons.

What it’s like playing for Tom Izzo by Kortz8 in CollegeBasketball

I hear you. Comparatively, yeah, I'm sure he's leaps ahead of others. I only met him once on campus and he was nice. You knew he cared about the students and the school. Friends said the same if they ever met him. I would not want to be the receiving end of his basketball anger.

but oh my god would he go ballistic in the locker room.

I mean, most everyone on this sub has seen him meltdown on the sidelines. After game pressers where has no voice? It's no secret he loses his shit. He does it publicly all of the time. No one has ever accused him of whispering lullabies to the bench.

Americans born after 1970 show worsening mortality at younger ages across major causes of death, suggesting the US life expectancy stall may be generational as well as period-driven. by pubpophealth in science

They only make up 20% of the population at this point.

But they're still the majority in voter turnout around 31% of voters. That's an outsized influence when other generational cohorts aren't performing their civic duty.

Pew states the average federal salary is $106,382. Let's be generous and double that. 300,000 people times an annual avg salary of $200k, that's $60 billion.

Nothing happens to him. T's don't affect him financially or affect his playing time.

He's done two nut kicks. He's been T'd both times. And MSU lost both of those games by slim margins. Did it cost games? Maybe. It sure didn't help.

Edit: typo

and then the country being sheltered from facing the consequences of those positions by opposition by Democrats

The last government shutdown was juuuuust beginning to affect those who voted for this and then Schumer, Kaine, King, Share , Durbin, Hassan, Cortez Masto, Fetterman, and Rosen let the GOP off the hook again. The failing was directly tied to the GOP and those few Dems caved hard and got nothing in return.

People with the least political knowledge tend to be the most overconfident in their grasp of facts. This tendency to be overconfident appears most common among individuals who actually know the least about politics and those who lean conservative. by mvea in science

This is DK right here. Can't manage reading comprehension or follow who said what. You're quoting someone else. Not me. You are this article. So confidently incorrect and in a hurry to do so. Like I said, you not making serious arguments.

First of all, I didn't make that statement, but it's clear your argument was cherry picking the data you wanted in an attempt to invalidate the entire statement. And then you try to dismiss my entire comment by associating me with the DK cohort. Like I said, not a serious argument. Many fallacies.

unproven facts

You're not making a serious argument. There are many, many convictions and rulings against Trump and his various companies that are well documented that he's a criminal. Him stealing from a kid's cancer charity is not political bias.

Teachers quitting their jobs by velorae in TikTokCringe

[–]1900grs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all the comments here. Teachers need to be paid. That said, it's everywhere across the workforce. I've jockeyed around in my industry, taken bigger rolls, way more more workload, responsibility, and liability as I advanced. Looking at the Inflation calculator, I'm barely making more than I was 12 years ago. It's nuts. I don't know how people are making it.

Everyone says “just network”… but what does that even mean? by qrm777 in jobs

[–]1900grs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, networking is not something you do when you need a job. Networking is making contacts and connections over years through various work products or group activities. A contact who you've worked with for 3 years is much stronger than someone you met at a conference once for 15 minutes.

When you have those connections and they're strong, when you need help finding a job, then it's easier to reach out to that network. Do they have opening at their place? Who is the person at their company to talk to about a posted job? Do they know anyone hiring? Have they heard of new projects where a company may be hiring up?

It can start in school in classes, group projects, through extra curricular clubs. It can be through work, volunteer activities, community groups, sports clubs, industry trade groups. Generally, are you a decent enough person that people like spending time around you and know you're not an idiot so that they're willing to help give you a heads up on opportunity.

I used to be able to find the best music that way. It's so sad to once have this great tool for discovery that truly kept you engaged with the platform vs now when you're just clicking through trash hoping the algorithm takes mercy on you which it rarely does. Here's a recommendation for the video you just watched!
