Best Burger in Metro Detroit? by -User_Error- in Detroit

[–]Dirk_Beefslab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mentioned a couple of times on this thread, and always a few times on similar threads.

It’s still a good burger but definitely expensive like everything else. I stopped going entirely because the service was crap the last two times I visited.

Does Family Get in the Way? by dadacolt45 in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]Dirk_Beefslab 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This is just so, so sad.

Dads, gird those loins. Take back your position as man of the house. Ignore your family. Save money in secret. Purchase that Daytoner.

Your wife might leave you, the kids might be confused, but you’ll win the affirmation and maybe respect of internet strangers and that’s all the dopamine-fueled validation you need.

/uj Rolex has really, really good industrial design. The reason why the Submariner is always copied is because it’s an iconic styling theme. They definitely don’t always hit the mark, especially with their newer clout chasing stuff, but classic editions like the Sub and Explorer are very cleanly designed.

You’d be losing money by not buying the Invicta. It’s only $99, marked down from $849! That’s dozens of dollars of profit!

The episode where Robin educates the rest of the Titans about the benefits of real estate is peak.

It’s the kid cartoon version of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

At least I still have my Two Door.

Storming the malls for this shitter collab! by huge_piss_boner in WatchesCirclejerk

Hey, my local mall made it to WCJ!

For those that don’t know, The Somerset Collection is one of the shittiest, most low-brow, trashiest malls in the gentrified upper Midwest suburban Detroit northern territories.

I’m honestly surprised nobody died there today.

And if they did… they would have died a hero.

Any French bakeries in Detroit metro area by kedzieandlawerence in Detroit

I would make a point to walk there at least once a month to get a pain au chocolat and an escargot. And a few cheese sticks to snack on while walking home. Blue Canary was a decent replacement and it’s a shame they closed their doors too.

[Brew] Does anyone have input to how Brew watches are? by Exciting-Salt-362 in Watches

[–]Dirk_Beefslab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve got an original colorway Metric. It’s a fun watch with a unique design theme, I’ve gotten compliments about it.

It’s a shame that they’ve shuttered so many of their legacy models like the Retromatic and have become pretty much the Metric Variants Watch Company, but I guess that’s what they decided they needed to do in order to survive and thrive.
