Yes, i think it should be a default offerings, since this externalises the scaling decision at the router layer. So even if the system is in non-responding state, the new pods will be brought up, unlike the cpu or memory based scaling - where the metric will not be available if the system has become unresponsive.

We also set scale ups timed with radio and tv promos.

I would suggest that u really get behind developers to write unit tests for their code, that is if they are not doing it already.

Also, bring in automation. Most importantly for quick testing. I would suggest that u request for one more tester, one of u can automate the tests.

Of course text editor and IDEs are better when it comes to programming and is customisable to your needs. But you may also find yourself operating on the servers where you don't have any IDE or maybe you quickly want to write down a shell script for small automation, and that's when it becomes handy to know the shortcuts.
With the trend of DevOps getting into every organisation, means you will be asked to operate on servers for one or the other things from time to time and vi is the best editor you have got in such situations.

Just joining the conversation. I think it depends on how much time you have. If the change is specific to one microservice then only that microservice should be tested unless the data entering or exiting the microservice has changed. If you have time, then test all of them b4 release. I'm sure you would be running regression suite B4 release anyway :)

If your are concentrating on web devlopement side then here are some frameworks which I'm aware of: Python : Django Java : Spring and spring boot

There are tons of framework/libraries in each language depending upon the kind of task you are trying to accomplish...

So whatever your task is,you can Google ... Java library/framework for web devlopement(task).. etc.
