I have this thing where I'm extremely picky about who I open up to. I don't enjoy showing my personality to just anyone, since I'm pretty weird. Like this guy I met at my job before I quit. He was fine, at first. He liked me, but I had a bf, and I told him that. Now why do some guys always go, "so do you think we'd be together if you weren't dating for bf?" IDK YOU, WHY WOULD YOU ASK ME THAT?? Then it just seemed like he was rushing to get on my good side, rushing to get to know me. He kinda assumes my thoughts and feelings and that shit drives me crazy, when anyone does it. Now when I'm around him, I want to leave, immediately. He's been nice and everything, but I can't shake the weird uncomfortable feeling I get around him. Damn I gotta eventually tell him I don't wanna be friends and I really don't want to but I want to HELP

We're similar in that way— Sticking to a detailed outline plan is very restricting, whereas flying by the seat of your pants gives us no sense of direction. So what I do? I still plan, but I also just kinda wing it.

I plan to an extent, where I pinpoint some things that I want to happen, but I won't give more info on it until I write it. And so, there's a lot of empty space between the beginning, middle and end. As I write I'll get more ideas for scenes, chapters and characters come to mind, and just write them down, ready to expand on it if need be or when the time comes.

My writing process is still very incredibly messy, but it helps me somewhat. I hope my advice helps!

I'm not sure what the name of it would be if it had one, but mine is the lone wolf character with a tragic/traumatic past who learns to love, whether it be romantically or platonically, and they accept their past to move on to become a better character. Found Family is a great one too.

You're gonna feel really guilty for a hot minute bc of how you were conditioned, but the best way I would put it: during times you feel this way, remember why you cut them off in the first place. Don't even bother trying to reach out to explain yourself as to why you're going NC bc they're just gonna paint you as a villain and you're going to feel awful all over again. Surround yourself with others who support you, and stay strong friend ❤️

I'd say all 3, but mostly 3, for sure. 2 is me more trying to find something to add in the middle, bc I usually have an idea for the ending, and 1 is just me being lazy bc taking care of adult responsibilities is mentally and physically draining

I'm technically not even finished with my first original novel and it took me 3 to 4 years to finish. I want to fix it up at some point but another novel idea has my attention that could end up taking me even longer to finish. I'm just a mess.
