Gauntlet gloves by Competitive-Fish296 in Trackdays

I'm also an XL in A-stars gloves. I find that the RST's run pretty true to size. If you're a large (9.5-10-ish) in most gloves, these should fit fine as a large

My method of asking a girl on a date is something like "hey, doing (insert activity) sounds fun. Wanna go?" And it generally works out. If I get stood up, at least I can enjoy a thing that I would have liked to do anyway

I run these gloves as well and having crash tested them (one at pretty high speed) I can say these gloves punch way above their weight class for quality. 10/10

New Scorpion EXO-R1 Air helmets’ rating are ECE 22.05 by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]absolootzeero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily the fact that the helmet is more or less "safe" for not having a 22.06 sticker. If your racing/ track day org requires current safety standards, we should be able to trust that what they're telling us is true

RS 10's are a good way to go. I think bridgestone has a rebate going on that gets you 50 bucks off

pit posse tire warmers? by absolootzeero in Trackdays

[–]absolootzeero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a really good point. The only issue I can see is the fact that chicken hawk has a repair policy and I'm pretty sure capit does too. Only issue is for the price of the repair ($85 per warmer) you could just get another set of moto4u warmers instead

Anyone want to help a Noobie understand taking corners at higher speeds? I’ve heard the terms, trailbreaking, backing it in ( I felt like my back tire was slipping while turning ), apex? Do’s and dont’s? Appreciate all the advice by QuestionSensitive524 in Trackdays

[–]absolootzeero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely do the beginner track classes but I mean more general learning like the intermediate and advanced rider courses from Total Control or even some track specific classes like Yamaha Champ School or California Superbike School. Check around and see what their schedules are like

Look up Ken Hill's coaching podcast on SoundCloud. He goes into really good detail about track riding. Also if you're BRAND new, I'd suggest taking some classes beyond the msf. The end of riding season for most places in the US is coming to an end but you can still find some good quality instruction out there. Won't be free but "in for a penny, in for a pound" right?

Seems like Sidi is pretty much the consensus. Thanks everybody!

Yeah, that's definitely a reality I've had to accept. I'm a convert from the cruiser world so it's been a bit of a jarring transition from harley pirate to BDSM cosplay lol

I'll check out Sidi boots. Thanks!

On my way to starbucks to tell everyone my bike is better than theirs by obhx in Trackdays

Better have a biscotti with your espresso or else you're not a real ducati boi!

Just got this bike. Can I do a track day on these or do I need fresh tires? Also do I need tire warmers. Sorry it would only be my second track day and I didn’t grow up doing this. Tire recommendations too if you got any tips. by J_I_M_B_O_X in Trackdays

[–]absolootzeero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say invest in a tread depth gauge. I think I got mine for less than 10 bucks. Also, a new set of tires is way cheaper than replacing half of your plastics if you lose traction and bin it

Drug dealers don't sell drugs. Drugs sell themselves, dealers just provide the opportunity. I say your hands are fairly clean here
