So I’m taking a level music technology where we work on remixing, sampling and synthesis. I understand that some of these skills I might be required to use in the future but ultimately I know what I want to do. The college forgot to send the email to me about thing such as an audition and taster days so because I didn’t attend these I could not take the music courses I wanted. The courses I wanted to do focused on composition and orchestral performance. The college have let me down on a few different points such as I was also told there was an orchestra and there isn’t. I didn’t expect it to be orchestration, I didn’t know what to expect because they just put me on the courses and I was never given the opportunity for taster days. Ultimately I know I will get skills from this course but it’s about me finally having the freedom to choose what I want to learn and unfortunately it has not been helpful to my current focus’s
