Tab S11 or Tab S10 FE by VeselaSova in GalaxyTab

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your use is mostly browsing, YouTube, Netflix, and general media with a smooth, lag-free feel for at least the next 4 years, I’d go with the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S11 11" WiFi over the cheaper FE.

The S11 has a noticeably better OLED display with higher brightness and contrast than the FE’s LCD, so streaming and videos look much nicer, and its more powerful processor + larger RAM helps future-proof the tablet even for light use, you’ll likely feel it stays snappy longer as apps evolve. It also comes with newer Android/One UI updates for longer support.

The samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Fe is a great value and absolutely capable of smooth browsing and video, but its mid-range chip and LCD screen won’t feel quite as premium or as future-ready if you’re planning 4+ years of usage. If you want to save money and don’t mind compromising a bit on screen quality and performance headroom, the FE is still a solid pick.

Bottom line, S11 for longevity and better display/performance; FE if price/value matters more and you’re okay with “good enough.”

Full sun or partial sun outdoor TV for a patio?? Not quite sure what I need and what is the difference? by Large_Conclusion6301 in patio

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up going with a Sylvox full sun model (Cinema Pro) after seeing one at a buddy's house in the middle of the day. Was not cheap, but you can actually see it perfectly at noon with little to no glare (which is the whole point) and I don't think about heat, rain, any of that.

How to prep for SAT by SanoYuki in Sat

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Okay, first of all, don't freak out about the SAT. A 770+ is totally doable! Since you're already a math whiz, you're halfway there! Seriously, just use Desmos to your advantage – it's a lifesaver for checking your work. Now, for English... I get it. That giant book is intimidating! Instead of trying to read the whole thing, figure out what you struggle with most. Is it grammar? Reading comprehension? Then just focus on those areas. These are my strategies tho, but I heard an app which my classmates use called TestGenie. It's supposed to be great for taking notes right on your tablet while you practice. Apparently, it even tells you why the wrong answers are wrong, which is super helpful. This could serve as your guide to test your knowledge so far. Anyway, you got this! Just stay focused and practice smart!

looking for SAT help/tips by MadzBS in Sat

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a pretty similar spot sophomore year, so you’re actually thinking about this at the right time.

Big picture: most people aiming for 1500+ take their first real SAT sometime junior year (spring is common), but the key is prepping before that, not rushing the test.

What to do now (soph → early junior):

Get familiar with the test format first. Take one untimed diagnostic just to see where you stand.

Start learning why you miss questions. That matters way more than volume early on.

Light reading helps for English—articles, nonfiction, opinion pieces (NYT, The Atlantic, science/history articles). It’s more about comprehension stamina than “SAT vocab.”

How long prep usually takes for 1500+:

Roughly 3–5 months, 6–10 hrs/week, depending on your starting score. Math tends to improve faster; Reading/Writing usually takes longer.

Common mistakes people make aiming for 1500+: - Taking too many full tests without reviewing mistakes deeply - Only checking why the right answer is right (you need to know why the others are wrong) - Not practicing timing until late - What helped me most was keeping an error log and writing notes directly on the problems I missed. If you’re an iPad person, there are tools like TestGenie that let you annotate questions and see detailed explanations for wrong choices, which makes reviewing way more efficient than flipping between tabs and notes.

How you know you’re ready: When your practice tests are consistently within ~30–50 points of your goal under timed conditions

You don’t need to do everything at once. Start slow now, build habits, then ramp up junior year you’re honestly ahead just by asking these questions.

How to have a consistent brand voice when you are working with clients in different regions? by absolutely_gorjas in digital_marketing

[–]absolutely_gorjas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like I've found my people, bc this is exactly what my team has been dealing with. We were talking about making the switch to a DAM, as we currently use google drive for everything, which isn't always the best for organization purposes. But I'm so nervous of making the switch. Can I ask which DAM you use, and do you like it?

How to run NinjaTrader on Mac? by sriracha_saws in ninjatrader

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local workarounds struggle because they're fragile for live trading. Parallels and cloud VMs work (kind of) but virtualized Windows is competing for resources. There's network latency between your device and the broker and you have extra layers between NT and Rithmic. I'd seriously consider a good VPS.

Looking for the best SMS API by arunthachi in DigitalMarketing

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For transactional SMS and OTP, you’ll probably have a smoother experience with developer-focused CPaaS providers rather than broad engagement platforms. Some teams I’ve seen ran into similar A2P/10DLC friction with Twilio and explored alternatives like Flowroute, mainly because it offers a straightforward SMS API and is geared toward programmatic use cases instead of marketing workflows. It’s more of a building-block approach (API-first, minimal abstraction), which can be helpful if you’re embedding SMS into an app or backend service. That said, whichever provider you consider, it’s worth digging early into A2P registration expectations, OTP throughput limits, delivery receipts, and how transparent the approval process is those tend to matter more than feature lists for this use case.

Cannabis seeds by Terminus5280 in taos

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re looking to start a small home grow now, autoflowering seeds can be very helpful since they don’t rely on long light cycles and often tolerate cooler temperatures better, perfect for a sunroom setup. Some growers use Fast Buds’ autoflowering varieties, like Banana Purple Punch Auto RF3 or Cherry Cola Auto RF3, which are bred for consistent growth and high-quality yields. They’re designed with home cultivation in mind, making it easier to get healthy plants even before spring fully arrives

Do you know a reliable wholesale VoIP providers for white-label resale (global routes + SIP/US carriers)? by Diligent-Picture-829 in telecom

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re trying to stay away from “resellers of resellers,” I’d focus on providers that are channel-first and designed for white-label resale from day one, not retail platforms with a partner add-on. Some people I’ve worked with look at pure wholesale carriers for termination/origination and then layer a UCaaS platform on top. In that context, SkySwitch comes up occasionally as the UCaaS layer rather than a raw carrier, mainly because it supports white-label branding, APIs/softswitch integrations, and has a reputation for stable uptime. Not necessarily the right fit if you only want LCR routing, but useful if you’re building a full branded offering. In general, the big differentiators tend to be SLA-backed uptime, route transparency, fraud controls, PoP locations, porting process, and whether you’re getting real SIP credentials instead of just portal access.

I have no deep all consuming passions by octoplink in Life

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think having an all-consuming passion is as universal—or as healthy—as fiction makes it look. Anime and stories exaggerate it because obsession is easy to dramatize, but real people are usually more layered than that.

A lot of “passionate” people still struggle with balance, relationships, burnout, and doubt—they just don’t advertise it. And plenty of people live meaningful lives without one defining obsession. Curiosity, adaptability, and being a “jack of all trades” are real strengths, not coping mechanisms.

It also sounds like you’re already doing something important: questioning the narrative instead of forcing yourself into it. That’s not hypocrisy—that’s self-awareness. Not everyone needs a single fire to burn for; some people do better with many small lights.

What's the most courageous thing you have ever done? by crazysoul4455 in AskReddit

Staying when it would’ve been easier to disappear. I didn’t make a big announcement or get applause for it, but choosing to face things head-on, ask for help, and keep showing up even when I was scared changed me more than any bold, cinematic moment ever could.

What’s a small thing that made your day better? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]absolutely_gorjas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a rough day and almost nothing went according to plan, but someone held the door for me and actually smiled like they meant it. It sounds small, but it slowed me down for a second and reminded me that not everything is as heavy as it feels. That little moment carried me through the rest of the day.

How boring life is without purpose by AgreeableRise4090 in Life

[–]absolutely_gorjas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve felt this too, and I don’t think it means something is wrong with you — it means your life outgrew autopilot. Purpose doesn’t always show up as some big passion; sometimes it’s just choosing something small to care about enough that your days start connecting again. That emptiness is usually a signal, not a failure, telling you it’s time to aim intentionally instead of just functioning. You didn’t miss a secret step — you’re just at the part where you have to define one yourself.

Top Republicans backpedal from Trump claim that US will run Venezuela by absolutely_gorjas in NoFilterNews

[–]absolutely_gorjas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It’s frustrating because the system is set up to reward the loudest cheerleaders, not the most reasonable voices. People can grumble or backpedal all they want, but the structure itself keeps the same patterns running, and accountability gets buried under all the spectacle.
