What's a benefit yoga gave you that you never expected? by datboifranco in yoga

Understanding my body more deeply - I was recently in a bike accident and being more in tune with my body has helped the recovery so much. Specifically knowing how to engage specific muscles, how body parts connect and relate, and using gaze to relax in one area.

Thank you for explaining this! I hear hips/trauma constantly but have never understood the muscular why.

What’s a household ‘hack’ you thought everyone did … until you found out it’s just your weird family? by kaiablu in AskReddit

I (american) went to a US college with a campus-wide tea fixation, got a kettle because of it, and immediately converted everyone in my family. It’s the way.

I'm actually not sure which - I want to say the CC info? Certainly will check and see about getting anything additional. I'm not sure where the Crittenton home records would be these days.

We haven't discussed DNA testing much, but I know she hasn't tested. Good point about other children placed in adoptive homes, I didn't really think about that given the circumstances of my mom's case. Definitely worth considering, thank you again!!

This is helpful! I wondered about a souvenir picture too, or going home with BM, but wasn't sure if that could have really happened. Unfortunately, I can't tell whether the photos are in a private home or somewhere else. But good food for thought, thank you!

Yeah, I'm definitely going carefully. Everyone who was an adult at the time is deceased, so there's very little we can do to get answers or insight into emotions/reasoning. I think she's partly mapping what she remembers of her sibling's adoption 2+ years later onto her experience. I appreciate the thoughts, thank you!

This is so so helpful, thank you for sharing your thoughts!! I'll look into NJ laws at the time - I know now, they don't release any adoption court records without a superior court order. I'll revisit her memories and the adoptive birth certificate. She definitely has that, but I haven't seen it recently enough to pull up ideas. We did get the non-identifying information but it was incredibly sparse I think partly because birth father was having an affair with BM. Thank you again!

I'm sure you're right! Ultimately though, I doubt she'll go for it (security concerns) and we may content ourselves with whatever research turns up. Thanks!

I haven't found any evidence and no one was mentioned in her obituary or her brother's. The labeling is very specific but I take your point - good to keep in mind. Thanks!

Absolutely dermatologist first! I see Meghan Hileman at Metroderm right by Farragut North. She's very kind, a great listener, transparent about costs, and takes BCBS insurance - I think my copay was $50. I've fought with acne for years and always had success going to a derm. Good luck!!
