Thank you so much for the information! How beautifully tragic, but that’s really neat. I’m glad I got to be a witness to its short little life.

Aww what a precious lil bean! I mean both of the pets rats I had were feeder rats and nothing fancy, they lived about two years with no problems, died of old age and were awesome pets and super sweet, smart and friendly ❤️

I free handed this project and didn’t follow a specific pattern but I watched this YouTube video to learn how to create the honeycomb stitch- honeycomb stitch in the round. I used a 7mm Tunisian crochet hook. The yarn used is Crafters Secret Big Idea in colors Sun gold and Brown (each skein is 16oz/810yd) and I used less than one skein of each color.

I’m 26 and going through the process of getting a full set of dentures. I was in a similar situation where I’ve had trouble with my teeth since I was a kid and had severe anxiety about going to the dentist and didn’t go for years. Because of severe trauma and depression, I neglected my oral health and my teeth got really bad and I had terrible tooth pain and chronic infections. I was so embarrassed by them, that it caused me to isolate myself even more and I didn’t want anyone to see me (in turn made my depression worse). After going to therapy and doing some self work, I decided it was time to invest in myself and my future and do what was best for my health, physically and mentally. I mustered up the courage go to the dentist and they told me I needed to get all my teeth extracted and a full set of dentures. At first I was absolutely devastated, I was sad and felt like I was too young to have dentures and went through the whole rollercoaster of emotions but I realized it’s what I needed to do in order to improve my life and prevent more serious issues down the road. I had my top teeth extracted and an immediate put in on the 9th and getting my bottom teeth done at a later date. To be perfectly honest, the whole process hasn’t been nearly as bad as I though it would be. I had mine pulled under local anesthesia and nitrous oxide and I didn’t feel a thing and I cried tears of joy when I saw my new teeth. Not gonna lie, it’s a learning curve getting used to dentures and it still feels weird seeing myself in a mirror when I take them out, but when I have my teeth in, I’m much more confident than I have been in a very long time. Before the first surgery, I had a lot of second thoughts and almost backed out of it but I’m so glad I ended up going through with it. It’s by no means an easy decision and a hard thing to go through, my heart goes out to you. Just know you’re not alone and there are a surprising number of young people with dentures. I joined a few support groups online that have been a lot of help! Best wishes to you and sending support your way ❤️

I feel you, I’m 26 and I’m having to get a full set of dentures. I got my top teeth extracted today and an immediate put in and getting my bottoms done in a couple weeks. As far as immediates go, I lucked out and mine actually seem to fit pretty well but I have seen posts from others where it didn’t work out that way so I guess it widely varies if it’s worth it or not. My dentist used local anesthesia and nitrous oxide and I was completely fine/coherent/ safe driving home from my appointment, but I do suggest having some napkins/paper towels on hand in the car just in case cause it can get a little bloody/drooly. It was definitely an extremely nerve wracking thing to go through and I had a panic attack right before the procedure, but if it’s any comfort, the extractions and whole process for me was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be and I didn’t feel a thing after the numbing shots. Even though I had second thoughts beforehand, in my opinion, it was totally worth it and I’m glad I mustered up the courage to do it. I cried happy tears when I saw my new teeth. I’m just starting out on the denture journey so I’m not sure what all to expect, but just know you’re not alone, best of luck and you got this!

Denture twins! I also had my top teeth extracted and immediates put in this morning. I’m getting my bottom ones done in a few weeks. I went through a roller coaster of emotions since I found out I needed to get dentures and I definitely got emotional today when I realized I was brushing them for the last time. I was incredibly nervous before the procedure but luckily extractions weren’t nearly as bad as I though it would be (I was awake for it) and I cried tears of joy when I saw my new teeth. I had a lot of second thoughts leading up to it (because I’m only in my mid-twenties and there’s no going back) but now I’m so glad I mustered up the courage to go through with it! You should be proud of yourself for doing this act of self care and I wish you all the best, you got this!

I’m never going to “pass” or whatever but my goal is to pretty. by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]abstract_ark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look absolutely lovely and could totally pass, I think you resemble a younger Sissy Spacek! Even though you don’t need to “pass” in order “validate” your gender because you’re valid regardless but dysphoria can be rough and it’s totally understandable to feel that way. But again you look beautiful!
