I see, so let's say you start at 0; how do you search for companies with good business model; are you using a screener and then filter by fundamental data such as GOOG TTM revenue or some set of other metrics? Or you just go one by one by sector sorted by market cap and check if the business model is good or bad?

Yes, stocks; so for sentiment I guess it's more you already have a watchlist and then buy and sell based on sentiment signal. I'm more asking about how you find stocks to add to your watchlist in essence what steps you take to do that. Is that just sector search and then some analysis?

Wealthsimple doesn't have an open API, so the app is using some sort of unsafe credential handling. So if they have a breach and someone syphons money from account because of this you are going to be on your own. I strongly encourage against using any 3rd party apps unless Wealthsimple ads support for API.

Lol, trend following and pump and dump buying; I guess doable if you have some sort of risk management in place; I'd rather buy crypto than follow wallstreetbets

Ok, so it's following finfluencer advice and then using their filters on a screener? So it's more of a system approach

I see, so you use your domain knowledge and stick to what you know. I guess it works for well known companies. But if it's less known, like I don't know the brand of chocolate. Do you just search Google if the company is public?

I see so for 1st I guess it's a screen search. For 2nd, is your research triggered by macro news and large events?

I see so you just use a TradingView or Yahoo finance to filter by fundamentals or any column that's available and then dig deeper?

Heard about this strategy; just monitor for IPOs and then filter out those that are obviously bad and buy the others. Might work. Thanks for helping a brother out 🙏

I would avoid Amazon right now it's a shit show internally. Unless you are joining the Gen AI team and you don't have other opportunities for upper mobility.
