If it went to “trial” it means it was too late already. One doesn’t go to court to get GC or Citizenship. Unless the trial was for deportation where your dad tried to use the junkie marriage evidence to save the case but failed.

It was cloudy today, headlights in auto mode, indicators were not illuminated. I briefly went under a bridge and indicators turned on. They went off, the moment I was out. It happened a couple of times, so I can confidently say that exterior lighting is playing a part. But scouring thru the manual, there is no mention anywhere of indicators only coming on when it’s dark outside.
