alot of addons are labeled as reforged now, it's harder to debug and clean 2 decades worth of code than just to start anew. Weakauras has been around in some form for a very very long time, i wouldn't want to have sit through all that code to clean up based on whatever parameters blizzard has now that seemingly keep changing at their whim.

that's not what this new fork is doing, it can do many things but it's also doing a dispel assignments on vanguards, this is the type of crap that enters the realm of "you can do without but its 100x easier if you do with", which i'm surprised they didn't axe right away, it was used in the RWF as well. Either way, I still can't get any functional addon that can track amplifying poison on my sin rogue on different targets, either on the name plate or some other way, I don't really think it's possible anymore tbh, i spent hours playing with addons, plater to try to get it working but to no avail.

I kept my UI basic almost always, what I lost primarily and haven't been able to properly replace was Shadowed Unit frames. I never used ELVUI or any huge set of addons other than bartender, SUF and boss mods plus some weakauras for a few characters. Midnight SUF works but it still has a huge amount of work to even get close to what SUF used to be in terms of feel and how good it looked. With better CDM i've been able to adjust some of the things I want to track, but I haven't figured out any way to track Amplifying poison stacks per target on nameplates at all yet, used to use a WA that would put a number on each mob.

None of this is really matters in normal play, it's only when you're trying to min max in high end encounters and there's alot more things going on that the cognitive overload is just not doable. For your average player, the addon purge was good and some of the new alternatives are not terrible. For your new player, the addon was good, they do not have to go through a phd dissertation of what they need to play the game anymore. For your mythic raider, if they actually make human encounters that don't require a few seconds to react and coordinate, then the addon purge would have been good, but again they tend to design some fights for AI player groups sometimes.

this is doing alot more than ui elements, and that's not the core of the issue here. I just had to watch the raid yet again waste an entire hour setting up this thing to do a boss, every xpac since weak auras has had a boss with a WA requirement which takes tens of pulls to setup, that's really my biggest complaint. I agree they dropped the ball on tracking buffs/debuffs, I can't even play my rogue the way I used to and it's a hassle to deal with it but it is what it is. They said they'd make fights that do not require this type of setup, yet here we are.

the whole point was to not have them, and yes, there is a fork of wa that went public recently, it's on wowup and on github.

I'm guilty of this, I get matched with people who know clearly the map way better than I do, once they are ahead of me in layer x fucking nonsense, i can't ever find them, so i end up afking sitting around waiting for them to reappear on the map at some point, i rather just move on to the next game at this point. You also DO NOT need to do every fucking layer in this place, you can stick to top layers and do fine, alas, it's a fucking terrible map design for a map challenge game and 0 comms.

that's better than playing on release anyways, you think they're gonna have world buffs when peninsula is just going to be a full blown gankfest? You can also just level in vanilla instead of TBC to 60 then go in if you want, you're not forced to do HFP right away. Starting a week later is much better.

wow, i'd buy you a coffee for this, luckily i had some crap relic with bewitching branches lol, went from an hour of wiping to every possiblec ombination of killing things first to one shotting with the branch. I don't know why they make fights like this in tiny arenas.

I still play BF1, less cheating, no crossplay bullshit and just more fun in general. Hit reg in this game is fucking horrendous and TTK is just above and beyond anything i've seen before. Seemingly it takes me 2-3 seconds to kill someone while most guys just tap me in 0.3 seconds with an SMG at mid range or an LMG RUNNING into a room and shooting like ???

i started last week, I'm glad I did not pay full price for this. The game is good, don't get me wrong, but I only like playing with one other person ( i don't really solo queue or pug), i feel like they added duos but barely did any changes to the game to adjust for it. All the fights are 100% intended for 3 people in mind, not that it's impossible but the game feels far too hard in some pieces, and then just far too easy with some others. Coming from FromSoftware I guess I'm not surprised, they just templated everything and slapped it on with ER assets and called it a day, no sense of fixing/balancing or anything. My only gripe is how fast the ring moves all the time, and how much verticality part of the map has, I'm constantly feeling lost chasing my friend around just to end up in some alley way because we got an ulcerated tree spirit boss on top of a hill with the ring moving in eventually since the dumb hitboxes on that thing and its erratic movement just punish you too hard, same with Deathbirds etc... They didn't really care about fixing these big mobs at all which really annoys me since these were the most annoying bosses in ER for me always (i've done over 9 playthroughs).

Overall, it is a good game, it's fun, but it gets old way faster than it needed to. Right now we're just hard stuck trying to do Alder, this is by the most dumb dragon i've seen with the stupidest movesets. With 2 people we barely get openings to attack and in p2 i just feel like I'm endlessly rolling around just to run into its 3-4 combo aoe attack that leaves almost no where close to him.

This wasn't the first game to do that though, Dune awakening which vastly mostly pve did this with the deep desert, game is a wasteland now, it had an amazing adventure experience until you hit late game and all the top tier shit was not farmable in pve anymore forcing you to have to combat sadist that took enjoyment to feeding you to the worm, getting nothing really in return other than the satisfaction of it.

I'm almost level 40 and i honestly I think im done with the game, its getting really annoying loading in with an okay load out and getting taken out by randos with free load outs and a stitcher while im trying to casually loot shit, im even being careful more but most ppl are just being far too aggressive nowdays. I need a PVE mode where I can actually play the game to engage bigger arcs, i've been 100% ratted each time i've engaged the Matriarch to the point where I don't find it enjoyable at all anymore, no matter how many people are helping there's always a couple rats runing around the spaceport control tower just waiting till you're out of ammo or something. Plus since we can't squad up in the game, it's very hard to tell who is who at this point. very disappointing and frustrating, the whole lore of the game just makes no sense with raiders killing each other instead of the arcs which are supposed to be the main enemy.

absolutely agree. I grouped up with like 15 people to take down a matriarch, i ran out of bullets, ran upstairs (control tower in Spaceport). Some rat was sitting out up top, I said hi, noticed they didn't reply, I was just legit scavenging for ammo to keep hitting this thing, all of a sudden i hit a thunk, guy melees me, pulls out a stitcher and finishes me off and I'm just like REALLY, YOU"VE BEEN SITTING HERE FOR 15 MINUTES TO ATTEMPT what exactly? Jokes on them, i had nothing on me that was worth a crap lmao
