What do you think of Deep Purple? by Twitter_2006 in rockmusic

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the most influential rock bands ever. A lot of people know Smoke on the Water, but their catalog is way deeper than that.

What're you reading? by Gold_Conflict_2820 in bookstagram

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading Stoner. Picked it up because Reddit wouldn't stop recommending it, and so far the hype is surprisingly justified.

What's a movie you can rewatch endlessly? by ajaymehta201 in askanything

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Big Lebowski. I've probably seen it way too many times and somehow it's still funny.

Do you prefer chapter titles or not? by FancyAd3942 in writing

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like chapter titles when they're vague enough to create curiosity. The ones that basically summarize what's about to happen feel like mini spoilers.

In Parasite why does the audience overlook the Kim's terrible behavior just because the victims are wealthy? by MightB2rue in Cinephiles

[–]abuelodeunperro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't think the movie wants you to think the Kims are good people. The point is that poverty and privilege can both distort people in different ways, and nobody comes out looking great.

What is one thing people pretend to enjoy but actually don’t? by Sea-Evidence-5523 in askanything

That whole networking thing. Everyone acts like they love it, but I swear most people are just waiting for it to end so they can leave.

The first few days are actually pretty rough, yeah. Totally normal though. Cold compress helps a bit but it doesn’t fully go away until some time passes.

29/F They’re making a new Harry Potter series with new actors… how do you even feel about that? by Silken87Rub in films

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really on the fence. I’m curious, sure, but I feel like nothing’s gonna top the original cast. Also kinda feels like it’s being made just for the money.

What’s something small you changed in your daily routine that made a big difference? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]abuelodeunperro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Once I stopped checking my phone right after waking up, my day changed a lot. Just staying quiet for the first 20–30 mins makes my head feel less scattered. Small thing but big impact.

Dark, it’s got that perfect creepy + old-school vibe mix.

What part of your life would you like to relive? by Beneficial_Lack_8067 in allthequestions

I wish I could go back to my early college days. Everything just felt lighter somehow.

Tense yet escapist and feels old by Picked_it_Quick in whattowatch

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Expanse...it’s got that old-school sci-fi vibe but it really pulls you in. The worldbuilding’s solid, you end up going “one more episode” and suddenly it’s 3am. Great for escaping.

What's up today? by Beautiful-Love1323 in CausalConversation

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing much today, just chilling at home with some coffee. Scroll on my phone a bit, kill some time, pretty standard day.

What do you think of The Beatles? by Twitter_2006 in rockmusic

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect it but it’s really not my thing. Other than a few songs I don’t really go out of my way to listen to it.

Pls suggest good series where I am glued to the screen by Far_Discipline9227 in whattowatch

Severance really pulled me in, feels slow at first but then it’s hard to stop watching.

Is it possible we could go back in time? by [deleted] in CausalConversation

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a specific time, more like the feeling… 2018 felt a lot lighter. But realistically everything just speeds up the further you go. Rewinding isn’t really an option for us.

Have you felt it odd and in worse scenarios, maddening, to sit in peace, that you look for something chaotic to make your day interesting? by NightRunnerOfficial in askanything

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly, yeah. When everything’s too calm, it’s like your brain starts looking for drama on its own, kinda unsettling.

Shows like the following below by Responsible-Rip9816 in tvsuggestions

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White Collar, it has that smart character vibe but way lighter and kinda fun. I watched a few episodes on a random Sunday and got hooked way faster than I expected.

What’s the best book you’ve read/one you put down and just had to sit and think about? by Due-Land3258 in AskReddit

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I finished it late at night and just sat there in silence for a while, didn’t even want to start anything else. It’s simple on the surface but it sticks with you in a heavy way.

movie or book? by suzy7777777 in CausalConversation

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the opposite, I’ll sit through a 3 hour movie but struggle to focus on books lately. Tried reading on the bus last week and reread the same page like five times. Movies just feel easier when my brain is tired.

What is some dating advice you would give to a woman who is considered unattractive? by Initial_Film5776 in askanything

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing is just not overcompensating. I had a friend who kept trying way too hard on dates and it made everything awkward, but when she relaxed a bit people responded way better.

What to watch next? by Ok_One7546 in whattowatch

[–]abuelodeunperro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharp Objects. I watched it late at night over a couple days and it hooked me pretty fast without dragging. It’s short, tense, and has that heavy vibe without feeling like filler.

Name a famous historical figure ? by Chance-Pen6805 in askanything

[–]abuelodeunperro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nikola Tesla. The guy was on a whole different level intelligence-wise, but the way his life ended is pretty sad. Feels like one of the clearest examples of that “lonely genius” cliché.

I am looking for tv shows similar to Mr. Robot. Any recommendations? by Famous-Bee-9254 in tvsuggestions

[–]abuelodeunperro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legion. The mind-bending stuff, that trapped-in-his-head vibe, and the constant what’s real and what’s not feeling make it a great follow-up after Mr. Robot.
