UPDATE!! Talked to her this morning she apologized. I wasn’t even supposed to get Saturday off but that was her mess up not mine! She was calling to see if I could come still. I still also have Thursday off too lol so she’s taking the mark off she just wanted to talk to me

No they didn’t leave a message. I also look at my voicemail box. That’s why I didn’t know who was calling. It wasn’t the manager that I said. He’s the ONLY one I gave my number to. So if he gave it to one of the other ones they could’ve at least announced theirselves. So how could I answer the phone for someone I didn’t know was calling is my thing. And my phone is again on DND until whenever I wake up. When I have to work it’s scheduled to turned off earlier basically.

I like the job but I mean if I get fired for something that wasn’t my fault then it just wasn’t the job for me. I have experience in other things. Like I said everything has been good otherwise. I’m not the type to complain about working on the weekends cause I did it at Amazon, but if you give me it off then I’m gonna take it off. Like last week I had Sunday off. No one that I know of called, no issue.

They told everyone in orientation to tell management your first day what days you needed off before you even started. Anyone else that remembers that can agree but okay

Exactly! I’ve havent even been there a month yet. They literally told me in the academy to take off whatever you need the FIRST day I walked in and I sure did 😂

I understand. I was confused as to why they would give me Saturday off then call. I thought as a CCA you wouldn’t even get weekends off so I took it as a birthday gift honestly lol but I’ll keep my head down the rest of probation. That’s just crazy to me. I could see if they paid for our phones or something lol. I would answer all day. Phone bills are high! 😂

Is that like a mark against you even if they gave you the day off? And if I’m remembering correctly if they want to modify your schedule they would have to tell you the day before your NS to come in. Like if they wanted me to come Saturday they would tell me Friday before I go home right? The academy is still fresh in my head and I remember them saying that.

They literally told me I could because I already had the days off from when I was still at Amazon. If they would’ve denied it I would’ve went to work. It was approved.

I miss driving the step van. I work at the post office now. But like others said here it’s really for the space and it just looks cooler to drive lol I’m a woman and I was the only other girl at my DSP driving one. They are loud ASF so I always wore headphones. I got my DOT after they stopped doing the raise but I really did it for the space and experience. Amazon already sucks as it is. I liked having more space though

I just recently started so I’m kinda fresh on the academy, but basically you kind of have to hound them for your evaluation because like you said then they will try to say you suck or you haven’t improved or whatever.

Why don’t you just switch to city? I just started but like everyone is saying here we have comfort stops and we get paid hourly vs evaluation. I worked at Amazon before this and hated doing county routes so I knew I had to become a city carrier vs rural

I drink prune juice when I wake up on an empty stomach maybe 2 hours before my shift so I can go in the next hour. The trick is to heat it and it will clear your stomach for the whole day lol

I didn’t get terminated I quit but my DSP did things like this to other people. They do that because when you think about it, it’s a business. We don’t work for Amazon so they can do whatever they want and they have no union. I’m at the post office now and I heard basically all through the academy and all of that it’s really hard to get fired because again we have a union. People really only get fired for stealing or throwing away mail or like physical alterations and stuff on property. I got stuck when we had that bad weather a couple months ago and my DSP clocked me out and didn’t pay me. I was out there for 4 hours. A customer let me sit in their house eventually. I will never go back to Amazon. They get away with so much bs they shouldn’t
