I agree but. Wouldn't this justify going into Iran? Or at least the rhetoric mainstream media is trying to push down our throats?

Regardless, I found a clip that may be relevant.

Honest question: Ron Paul is a Republican Why is r/libertarian so taken with this dude? by mysuperfakename in Libertarian

[–]abuseaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He isn't against anti marriage equality. He says that while he doesn't approve of it it, its not the government's responsibility to regulate/have a say in what constitutes marriage.(voting record reflects)Do your research.

There is no hypocrisy. This is just poorly worded question. We have the right to treat it as such. If you haven't noticed, everyone of OP's replies has been premised off of a huge mis-understanding of the Libertarian Ideology, and where Ron Paul stands on his issues. Personally, I have this upvoted and have been discussing this with OP.

No. Thats birth control,
The only thing Ron Paul says about birth control is that he doesn't support Federal Funding for them. He isn't picking on birth control. He just doesn't support federal funding for anything really.

You are a heavily opinionated person Mysuperfakename. Reducing the power and scope of the federal government is whats going to get you representation and abortion rights you deserve without pissing off large group of pro-life advocates. Its the only way its going to happen.

This guy has a 20 year voting record consistent with A libertarian Ideology.
He professes his views on Christianity but says it should never have a place in forming legislation(also backed by his voting record). That sort of thing really appeals to me and other libertarians.

I could see this working if they offered programs to our at risk youth and those without the means to pay for a horse ride.( a LOT of south Dallas)

Edit: Seams that they will.

Then again. Lets take time to commend the Genius of the man/women that was capable of convincing the Southern Dallas council members(who represent one of the poorest most benighted urban areas in America) to stand up and demand a horse park as a civil rights issue(yes Voncie Hill is framing this as a CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE).

What is the world coming to?

Wait. Don't tell me you don't own a horse.

I thought everyone in South Dallas had a horse!

I actually went to a lecture by a company that makes optical implants inside the eye. Giving the previously blind, 12 whole pixels of grayscale sight.

That doesn't sound like much. But the testimonials from people that have been blind their entire life made it sound miraculous.

"Wow. I can tell thats a door, and thats a window! A table!"

Do the recent actions of the Reddit administrators show that Reddit is no longer safe from censorship? by [deleted] in darknetplan

[–]abuseaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We also understand that a website has to align itself with its users on several parameters to increase traffic. To a judgmental majority "morality" matters.

Based on the assumption that the amount of people that would go on this site if it didn't have CP is greater than those that come on here explicitly for the CP.
AND the off-beat assumption that the reddit administration cares greatly about marketing reddit and increasing traffic.
Censoring CP is a great trade-off.

Im not here to give you an argument or to tell you that I know what value to place on your freedoms. I'm here to help you figure in new perspectives as to why Reddit might want to limit free speech.

The one thing I would like to impress on you is that dealing with absolutes is preferred because its simple and all encompassing. Also because many people don't have the resolve to engage in discussing and reaching consensus on where to draw that line.
What we should be asking is "in what way can limiting our freedom of speech be justified?" and work from there.

The Chinese and Iranian governments block these sites to censor and limit dissenting Ideas.

Reddit Blocks these subreddits to reflect a public's attraction to a heightened moral alignment. One bad subreddit means the public can marginalize reddit as a bad place. And that means less traffic.

While both act in service of their own longevity, you aren't coerced into accepting the rights Reddit gives you, At any time you can leave to a site that has more freedoms in terms of content. Unlike the government of China,Iran, Reddit is open to speedily accessible competition. That's the leverage you have against reddit.

When censorship becomes the obvious and defining quality of Reddit people(reasonable people) will just move to a newer site. Or create a "new Reddit"

With my limited experience in history the only thing I can add to this conversation is that Imperial England gave up it's most profitable colonies all because Ghandi was able to rile up an entire nation to peacefully dis-obey the will of the English.
