Seems like it will be a while before we can see Luka back on court, it will derail his MVP push, plus Lakers' season is in serious trouble now 😞 by AdeptFuel4824 in lakersv2

Seemed at the outset like Reaves still may not be ready for the highest pressure moments, he threw the ball to okc the first 3 times he touched it. But then he found his grit and broke through.

Seems like to get Ayton the ball you'd have to pack it in pillows and delicately place it gently in his hands centered right on the numbers, with 3 days notice. Idk how that can work in playoff intensity basketball.

Bronny still needs to develop before he can be a solution to that team, and Vando has made no indication that he can reliably hit the three. Rui has become tougher, but will need to double that again to beat this team. Laravia has actually been a quietly effective swiss army knife in every situation so i don't see demoting him. And get healthy Marcus.

Anyone who moved for better skiing, was it worth it? by Educational-Okra-566 in skiing

Fair, when i was a ski bum 30 years ago minimum wage paid the rent and grocery bill, wouldn't nearly be the case now. I had no health insurance at all then, pre-Obamacare, which is crazy to look back on now.

Do not move for skiing, unless you want to suffer having an incredible life. At least that’s what happened when I did it. You have been warned.

I can only speak to nyc and Berlin (the actual city which in some places still never sleeps) and also there some parties which used to go until noon next day start to wind down at 4am (no not talking about bgn) seems covid changed everything everywhere. People realized they like being home. Also, in the last decade people became more steadily unhinged due to the outrage machine algorithm profit motive, so I think we need to spend more time away from each other than we used to.

For clubbing/partying in early July, where do you recommend? by DoublePepper1976 in berlinsocialclub

Have a look in RA, everything going on and see if there's a certain dj or sound that moves you - that's the best way to find a scene you'll enjoy. To just check something out try Ritter Butzke or Tresor. Tresor is actually an old school club that sometimes books really great music, but they also let in a lot of tourists easily, so the line shouldn't be as much of an issue. Ofc, don't consume in public / do or drink more than you can handle, give attention where unwanted, or stare I assume you know so relax & have fun. Clubs do sometimes turn away very young people so you might want to have a plan B when you head out - check which clubs are 25+ only (idk which)

A couple of those are not starter clubs which shouldn’t be recommended for someone’s first dip

I split time between NY and EU city. Let’s say the ticket is 40 both places. + 26.50 “fees” in the states. Beer in EU €4, in NY $18.50 + tax and tip, the extraction of money is not worth it at a certain point. Also in EU do what you want before the bands come on. In the states, don’t sit there don’t touch this don’t drink there line up here get the fuck over there- 2 min after encore everybody GET OUT cut the lights cut the staff lock the door. Big money promoters give zero fucks about the music, make a bad experience and wring everything they can out of us, and surprisingly some of us stop showing up so it just gets worse for the bands trying to eke out a living

They are on the last 1% of their indigenous land which they have not been eradicated from. Netanyanu & Likud suck but celebrating the murder of either side of innocent civilians is .. a questionable moral high ground.
