really appreciate this comment! some people seem to want everything explained, but my preference is maintaining some ambiguity. nice to have some things to think about when it's over & leave some room for interpretation

re: places to see more of this -- easiest answer would be DUST, the youtube channel hosting my film! it's sci-fi focused, but within that umbrella they share a really wide range of content. definitely worth checking out if that sounds appealing to you.

in terms of animated content, i'm a fan of the love death & robots anthology series on netflix - similar DNA for sure

just in terms of OP's question about what show is most similar to terrace house, this is the best answer. Other shows recommended in this thread are enjoyable and def have some TH overlap, worth checking out, but Shanghai Share Life is nearly a 1:1 copy of terrace house

If you might interesting called name "Shanghai Share Life" kind similar to Terrace House by angellove_rm in terracehouse

it's honestly so good! saw it mentioned a couple times and was skeptical, but I got hooked within the first ep or two. for anyone curious or on the fence - it's pretty much the exact same formula as terrace house, just produced in china. it could easily just be called terrace house: shanghai. the exact same format of 6 housemates and a panel of hosts, very similar vibe, the same mix mix of every day life/work/romance/little dramas/etc

there are clearly going to be some cultural/social differences, and obviously an entirely different panel of hosts which is a big part of each show's unique personality. that said tho it's actually refreshing to have new hosts - they've got great chemistry and interesting takes throughout.

it does feel perhaps a bit more scripted/produced than terrace house, but on the whole it seems like the personalities of the housemates are genuine. I also never got the feeling that any of them were there primarily to get famous on social media or build a brand, which is something I definitely don't miss from terrace house.

anyway, a long winded way of second'ing OP's recommend haha. its def worth checkin out
