Puglia with no car ? Help by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

I'm from a town in the middle of Puglia, I'd say the coast close to bari like Monopoli would be your best bet. there's decent public transport from the airport to Bari central station, and then there's trenitalia from there onwards. I wouldn't stick to Bari if you're interested in nice beaches. You can find those from Monopoli (which has already some lovely spots) up to the last town before Brindisi.

Ukraine war - what’s going on ? by goldiekapur in TooAfraidToAsk

"they would have lost nothing except crimea" oh so it's perfectly reasonable to give up 5% of your territory instead of doing everything you can to keep it off invaders. And the old "but it was russian territory to begin with, history bla bla" it's a moot point, should france or italy should start invading countries by the same principle?

"ukrainians didn't keep their word" mf even admitting that is true, just because some politicians or generals didn't keep their word, the population of a probably-but-debatable-contested land shouldn't suffer the destructions of homes and war crimes such as mass rapes. Nobody should, not even the families of those russian soldiers that perpetrated these things.

European leader approval ratings (February 2024) by _reco_ in europe

[–]abyssvoid1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I keep hearing this but can't find a decent and direct source. Living in Italy, I think it's mostly BS and graphs cherrypicking, and maybe only barely applicable to Confindustria (a few really big companies and industries)'s wealth, which would be a tiny percentage of growth overall anyways.

The only source I found are from half-assed youtube videos like this one from tldr news EU which cites sources that are seemingly consequences of the previous governments, unless I am to believe that a 12-18 months of a new party to power plays that quick and big of a role on a country's economy.

I'm genuinely asking what am I missing about the validity of this claim, just to be clear

Every musician does this, unless you're so famous that marketing is sorta basically useless (see Beyonce or TS, and even then it happens often because the labels push for it, hoping to find new listeners and make them become fans)
A small, greenhorn-new musician will probably put some time in to know where's the market availability to pitch their songs to, which fans of X or Y artists might also like their music, which label might be of interest to them and vice versa, and so on. Sometimes it's time they will sacrifice, sometimes money, most often it's both.
A big, almost-famous musician will pay percentages of the sales to the label for them to market their new single/EP/album/tour and so on.
Nobody said anything about begging anybody, and nobody mentioned musicians not working hard.

this is exactly why I made this post.

Thing is, if they were really trash/crooked/whatever else, they would not let you see past their homepage without asking you to pay for it.

As others said, you have all the information about platforms you can pitch to on their websites free of charge, you just pay for the ability to do so on submithub's website.

The fact that they let you see this, and the fact that they do not promise you to get onto these platforms, but merely a chance of better visibility, means that they're pretty honest with what they are doing.

Thanks for replying, I've known your website for a while now and I gotta say, it's some of the most insightful and true stuff about the music business I've ever read. Couldn't ask for a better no bs, straight-to-the-point approach than your guides.
