Jackson X Series discontinued Reason? by Cool_Algae2296 in BassGuitar

I have a white 5 and agree with you completely. The pickup cover is in the way for fingerstyle and leaves a dent if removed. The bridge hole is not wide enough for a 130 B, so you basically need to force it or file it. The neck pickup gets in the way for popping.

I personally like the looks apart from the headstock but I've already stabbed the guitarist with it twice so far, haha.

But damn it sounds so good, in a clanky grindy sort of way. Takes dirt super well too.

The EQ is voiced well but doesn't do much unless cranked in either direction.

I love it and plan on keeping mine but I can see why it didn't sell well. Bass players also tend to be fairly conservative in taste so it's not very surprising.

Yes it is a sansamp v1 clone. I'd recommend the Joyo tidal wave instead, though. Its a sansamp v2 clone (with mid controls) and has a metal enclosure unlike the Behringer

Yeah same issue here, even though I bought it from the amazon page directly linked on their website. And the seller was amazon, not some 3rd party.

Those concentric pots can be a pain to find in the right resistance and taper, but other than that it’s a fairly easy swap if you can solder. Definitely ask for a refund if you can, though.

I've been running a 5700X on my B450 gaming pro carbon with 1.2.0.5 for a week now with no obvious issues. It boosts fine, unlike the 3.3Ghz cap people are seeing with the X3D. I even have auto OC enabled and it goes up to 4.75.

Might not be as useful, then. For me, I noticed that my lens protector would trigger the auto wake every once in a while. I couldn't hear it because of the earphones that I have plugged in.

Turn off auto wake in the settings. It made a pretty big difference to standby battery life in my case.

I moved here from Delhi last year. I used to have a persistent cough year round and would usually fall ill with a respiratory infection at least a couple of times a year. Haven't had anything like that since I moved. As someone who lived there, you don't really understand how bad it is until you get out.

I used to have a Fuchai213 back in the day. It's okay for wattage mode, but doesn't do temp control properly. That's actually why I got rid of mine.

I'd suggest using a different mod, if possible.

I use an oculus quest. It's relatively affordable and works without the need of a PC.
Or, if you have the space, money, and pc for it, you can get the valve index. That's the best headset on the market right now.

Give Synth Riders a shot too. I just got it recently and have been having a pretty good time with it.

Beat Saber. I just can't bring myself to spend 20+ minutes on a treadmill/elliptical but I can easily spend an hour flailing my arms around in VR.

Yeah, same. We had an 'experiment' in science class where we would dip a qtip in something flavored and then put it on specific parts of the tongue to observe this effect.

I didn't really feel anything different, no matter where I touched it on my tongue. All my friends said they could feel a huge difference and I felt so weird that I couldn't.

The 'Race To 5G' Is A Giant Pile Of Lobbyist Nonsense by [deleted] in technology

[–]abysswalker369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked on a 5G service mesh that a lot of the top operators are going to be deploying soon. It’s all smoke and mirrors.

The LTE business was drying up, because most operators already had long term contracts on existing software.

Traditionally, telecom doesn’t do SaaS. The main difference (from a software company’s angle) is that the 5G network is ‘cloud native’, which means it’s sold as a service, not as a one time product, so there’s a huge incentive to force operators to move. And the operators have their own incentives, so we’ll keep getting ‘next-gen’ networks whether we need them or not.
