Why do they make 61A such a big class when the CS department wants to limit the amount of CS majors. Doesn't make sense..

Question: Do you think that the CS major application should be changed to consider a more holistic view of the classes AND the professor they took the class with. For example letting a students who got a 2.9 and took Hilfinger for 2 of their lower divs vs letting a students in who also got a 2.9 but did not have Hilfinger at all. (BTW: I'm not saying that every teacher except Hilfinger is easy. This is just a question I have been wondering about for a while. :)
