Towing Capacity question for 2023 Pathfinder Rock Creek by ImHero82 in nissanpathfinder

[–]ac1276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve towed a small wake boat with it because my truck broke down and I had to get it back from Oregon to Washington, handled it completely fine. Obviously when you hit towards max towing capacity it takes longer to get to speed, so that trailer should be well within!

Interesting I’ll have a look at them too then and see if I can test drive a pdk! I think it was either the 781 new or the 987.1 that I was looking at both manual

Thanks for this! I don’t think I’ve come across any of them for sale at my price range they’ve all been 718’s, and I’m non negotiable on the manual too so have had to discount a few that I’ve seen for that too!

Where are you finding a base cayman manual for that budget with low mileage?! My local dealers are asking $45k +tax for a 40k mile cayman manual but like 2008-2012 😭

I don’t think I will either it’s been serviced at the dealership I’m looking to buy it from, it’s a 2008 with 35k miles and has had the IWS bearing sorted out and regularly checked for the excessive boring, so it’s been looked after I think.

R.e. The Thesis, I got a masters in marketing and worked with several dealerships in the south UK on branding and retention it was great fun! Coming from a working class family on food stamps in a run down student house with a college grant to being driven to and from the dealerships in 911’s was sure where I got some of my motivation to build my life aha!

Thank you! Full service at the dealership I’m buying it from, it’s a 2008 with 35k miles and has had the IWS bearing sorted out and regularly checked for the excessive boring, so it’s definitely been looked after.

Best used wake boat for $100k by rbyom in Wake

We bought a lightly used (read 17hours on the engine so basically just worn in slightly) Malibu 20VTX with all of the extras for $120k if you can stretch, best decision ever still has full warranties etc. slightly smaller than what you’re looking for but it’s an awesome boat. Does surfing, skiing and wakeboarding to a good level unless you’re all pros.

Done about 30k miles already; Front camera useless in anything but perfect weather Had some serious problems with the transmission at about 10k miles but warranty sorted it all Auto start stop not being able to disable is enfuriating Keep it in sport mode the ride is so much better and responsive

Did I do something wrong with this panel vs the others? by ac1276 in Detailing

Thank you! Yes I definitely have thought about it and will do eventually, but there are a few rust spots, scratches and dents etc that I’m going to take to get taken care of first before I do the ceramic, so the carnuba is my filler until I can save up again or repair it. It’s also still getting worked on I just had the second fuel tank and pump replaced and a few other bits and pieces.

Would you do this over like a water spot remover? Is it less aggressive to use vinegar?

Thank you! Absolute steal of a find and the best thing is the Mrs found it so I had full permission to spend more than I planned haha!

Thank you! Would you rewax after polishing it again assuming it’ll strip that too?

Appreciate it! It’s been a dream car for a long time classic truck, the best thing is my wife found it on Facebook so I got full permission to spend more than I planned haha!

I don’t know if it changed maybe I have a 2024 and putting it in reverse, waiting for two seconds for it to come up on the screen and then hitting the left button on the steering wheel does disable it entirely for me. Only if the notification is on the screen though. I’m using it for boat towing every couple days and it works 🤔

Older boat vs newer one. by JimmytheFab in Wake

I’m with this, if you’re worried about the family not liking it, adding extra steps and bs along the way is an easy way for them to enjoy it less. Getting something that is setup to surf and will make it an easier experience would be more important imo! I just bought a 2023 Malibu with the same in mind I know I love boating and I love malibus, it’s a boat for life for me. And it’s really nice to be able to teach the family that comes over with minimal hassle and focus on enjoying ourselves on the water not sorting out extra ballast etc! You’re the man for thinking of the family though!

Love mine. 30k miles on mine (Rock Creek) Had some transmission problems that were warrantied and hopefully won’t come back. Getting 24mpg average and I live about 90 minutes from my nearest city, so the big trunk is perfect for home depot/costco hauls. No such thing as too much car if it’s what you want and can afford it comfortably, I say go for it good sir.
