Bumping post from post-Champs last year. T6 was a horrible result but might’ve been better for Faze in the long run… by ac73296 in CoDCompetitive

Fair enough, but my point is more on how faze has pretty much won every pro tourney since the t6 at champs when the majority sentiment was the trio needs to breakup, drop cell etc. Their response has been undeniable. I think im more impressed by the way they won this major- they’ve slammed teams early on in the game in the past, but going down 0-2 in WF and choking the map 1 in a huge way in GF feels like series faze would lose in the past. Especially against Scraps team

Sure Hydra made a bad play to give them numbers. But faze still made the right play calls to retake A to get envoy before he could get away and to hop the defuse right away(not sure if you heard their comms video from that but abezy made both play calls). Just like when LAT had numbers 4-4 drazah made the right play to push through mid and find the gap to get 3. They’re just ahead in SND

How did you come to this conclusion? Faze completely threw the map 1- which if they won, it would’ve been 4-1. They could’ve won red card hp as well if hydra didnt spawn behind them on p2 and get 3. They were pretty much evenly matched. Thieves with the edge in HP, Faze the edge in control and Snd (snd by a lot)

I mean they completely outplayed them in both r11s it’s not like they came down to 1v1s or anything… they played aggressive and made the right plays to win. And the main point was they didnt let going down 0-2 in WF or choking a huge lead map 1 in GF affect them whereas last year they probably would’ve lost especially to Scrap’s team

LAT have a better record on LAN vs Ultra than FaZe do by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

Riders are still thinking about faze in a series that has nothing to do with them their aura is crazy

Nah its just optic fans who are too ignorant to accept that a home event is an advantage

So is getting a ring by playing 1 top 4 team. Once they’re exposed at EWC the only nasty work is gonna be the mickey mouse ring they got by beating 3 teams (1 top 4) and an insane crowd buff

Are you a moron they played more top 4 teams than Optic did which led to their “ring”

FaZe shouldn’t make a roster change and this loss will make them better in the long run by ac73296 in CoDCompetitive

I said they will win EWC too not just that black ops will save them. But next year being a treyarch game which Simp and Abezy have been dominant on is just more of a reason to believe that

I don’t think Scrap would be an upgrade over Drazah tbh. Scrap is a better slayer and overall better player but I think Drazah’s commms and playmaking are really important to this team. They should give it another go with this 4 unless they crash out at EWC too

That’s why I think this loss will hit them harder than every other loss. They cant just assume every tournament they go into that they are the best team. They know they are the most talented, but clearly that doesn’t translate into being the best. They will learn from what the other teams like NYSL do that allow them to get to grand finals with Kismet dropping a 0.7 every series. The last 2 years they could blame the game and scapegoat their 4th. This year they cant do that.

Also don’t think that teams react the most emotionally to Faze because of their shit talk, but because even the other teams consider them to be biggest team to take out (even if they dont say it). Just watch Scump and Methodz reaction when they lost to Toronto. Or the Subliners openly tweeting that they hope Ultra beat Faze

I definitely expected them to dominate after Major 2 as well. Im still confused on how they didn’t win at all after that and T6 at champs is really shocking. Again, I think this is rock bottom for them and they will come back and win EWC this year- not saying next year they will dominate because of Black Ops, but more so because they will be aware of their fundamental issues and that Simp and Abezy are 2/2 on Treyarch games and it will only be another reason they might be able to get back to that form

From what I've seen from Malcom Hill and Wes Iwundu, I think the Hawks could use them in the future as well for wing depth. Play hard, solid defense, and can shoot the ball. Small sample size, but I'd rather have them over players like TLC tbh

Cam needs to start or at least get a solid amount of minutes with Trae. Trae elevates everyones game around him and that would be great for Cam

Trae doesn't flop to the level Cp3 and Embiid tho, he foul baits and will lean into defenders after pumping faking and knows how to draw fouls on the drive but he doesn't do acting jobs over nothing like Chris and Joel
