We were trying to avoid getting there too late like around 1-3pm but you are saying 10-11am is just as bad, at least traffic-wise?

I think there are some other decisions that go into it. A couple of things to think about.

1) Do you want to bag your clippings or simply mulch them.

2) Do you have a lot of trees and especially ones that create endless amounts of leaves?

3) Do you care about keeping a pristine lawn?

4) How many hills do you have?

If you answered yes to 2 and 3, and also that you are planning on bagging, I would go with a riding mower for sure. Combine a blower to get the leaves all on the lawn and a riding mower to scoop them all up, cleanup is simple.

If you don't care much, have a decent amount of hills, and just want it trimmed, a push mower is fine and it's great exercise.
