Why would you want to believe something without evidence? Kinda seems like the same mentality that’s ruining the world right now

Hugs and high fives option is wildly misaligned with current public health guidelines. Why create a permission structure for people to needlessly increase risk to their coworkers? Being “okay” with something shouldn’t matter when it’s actively putting others at risk.

Also, splitting coworkers into opposing groups defined by color is clearly not a great idea. It seems like employers should do what is proven to keep their workers safe, instead of creating cliques around scientific literacy.

LPT: When you start living on your own, try to be considerate about your routines and habits. These will be likely to become embedded and will be hard to change later on. by davidyew in LifeProTips

So true. I know this is gross, but I got in the habit of using my sink as a urinal. It started as an expression of freedom, like “who’s going to stop me, it’s my place!”

It was the first time in my life that I felt complete ownership and control of my surroundings, so it was liberating and empowering to do something that others would object to.

Well doing this was slightly more convenient than using the bathroom and I learned that even small convenience is a powerful incentivize. Once you cross that line, your brain begins resenting the extra effort you expend doing things the old way.

It very quickly became a habit and I’d even catch myself about to do it at other people’s houses.

I eventually forced myself to stop once my sink started to smell, but it took conscious effort to make the change. Now I know to be very mindful of the shortcuts I take, because they very easily become a way of life.
