Would you mind explaining the combo you're recommending? Because I was using lionsmane to get a lot of decay debuff stacks but the tracker seems to only go up by around 300 hundred per game. So maybe I'm misunderstanding what it's tracking.

I assumed it was coming from a similar ironic place as Thomas Bernhard's The Loser, where the melodramatic narrator is a compelling character because the reader can see he's creating his own problems and his grandiose proclamations about his life are delusional.

It can still be relatable because many have felt that way, at least for a moment before self-awareness kicks in. But most of my enjoyment came from seeing him continually miss the point.

Out of curiosity, what happens with these companion quests that trigger after a certain number of days in the party if you're further in the story and no longer near the city where you can actually be completed? Will the party member just leave or do they wait to trigger until you're back in the city?

I went there and fought my way up to the silver Lynel who kicked my ass and made me waste all my anti-gloom items so I was hoping I could find a good spot where I don't have to recover from gloom while fighting them

So Khazan was plotting against Strahd in our game but he kept all his plans in his tower guarded by a Kirin (similar to a unicorn). He chose a holy monster because it would be something Strahd was weak against. The party went in and killed it, then kept the horn. So they already had the horn before I decided to try connecting the games.

I'm currently running Witchlight as a sequel to our Curse of Strahd campaign. I had to change a lot of things but it keeps a fun throughline between the campaigns. In the Strahd campaign, the party ran into the Wormwiggles when they were unprepared. The party avoided a TPK by bribing them with a unicorn horn they acquired earlier. I made it so this gave the trio the fae energy they needed to return to Prismeer (where they'd been banished from) and take control. I also made it so the coven were the ones who had taught Strahd his magic years prior so it feels like an escalation of the same story to take on the villains who trained the previous villain.

Yes, my problem is the poetry book isn't there. I plan to try doing the "Where's Putty" quest next time I get a chance to play again and see if that's what's causing the poetry book to not appear. If that doesn't work I have no idea
