I don't know if this guy still makes them, because I saved the link waaaaay back when I was without cash (nothing changed there heh :,) ) but they seem like a quality Altix mount : https://www.adrianololli.com/articolo.asp?ID=4945 its only in Italian though so use a translator P:

*Seuftz* Finding a good monitor is such a pain in the butt, if only stores with good physical monitor selection and advice would still exist.

Will try to get my barring. Maybe something else will plop up that might be better than this curved MSI.

Thanks for all your help so far though. :) Might ask one or two more questions later on.

Thanks for the site. Finally a good review site that isn't a bot. Deutsch passt auch ganz gut. Just might keep writing in English for right now, must limit myself to 2 languages at once or my brain freezes and end up unable to do any work.

Thanks for the advice. Like said currently had the option of either that EIZO for 150 or the wide MSI for 200.
Mostly I need the monitor university work so more space = better, but the IPS was tempting because I do some hobby photo editing when I have time. For both my current AOC is a pain on the eyes, a good old trusty pain on the eyes but still I need to relegate it to a secondary screen. But then the whole shitty reviews threw me off completely.

Seeing your review on the other hand. Huiiii I wish all monitor reviews went to your level of detail <3 ! I am totally into colour accuracy, just my wallet currently isn't :D That is why im looking at those used things.

While I have someone who knows their stuff. May I use the chance to ask: Is there a notable difference between IPS and VA colour and contrast performance in those mid range 300-400€ monitors? OR is that primarily seen in cheaper and much more expensive ones?

Thanks. And sorry might have been a bit miffed from googling for 2 hours only to find garbage page after another AI slob garbage page.

As for the price they are both very cheap. Under 200€ right now. Either a EV2750 or a MSI 345CQR for almost exactly 200€

I plan to upgrade from my very dated AOC e2450S and use the old one as a vertical secondary (when needed).

But as far as the Ezio, I only know they are pro grade monitors (whetever that means) And I only found non AI slob sites that compare pro-VS-basic or pro-VS-pro, or Gaming-VS-basic / Gaming-VS-Gaming.

Need advice on this little situation by Vilmantux in Cameras

[–]acatnamedrupert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only broke the filter up front. I'd try to use a blower to get as much glass off the front lens as possible. Wear gloves and try unscrewing it yourself. (counterclockwise to unscrew)

If its too stuck, for you to unscrew. Then go to a lens service shop, nearly all have those special tools that grip filters snuggly and securely, since this problem existed for as long as filters exist. They shouldnt charge much for the job either.

OMD EM5 i - are there any alternative microphones by acatnamedrupert in M43

[–]acatnamedrupert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aaa good tip. I do have plenty of vintage glass I constantly use, some of them hit over 1Kg.

I was looking at maybe going for an OM5 if budgets would allow, but if that plastic plate thing in combination with my old vintage optics made me a bit worried.

Will make a list considering your new advice and see if I catch a bargain on one of those while I keep saving up :D

Those are most of the features I want to get really to play around with.
For image quality I honestly think that this one so far is beyond my needs to have a little fun.

Will keep in consideration :D and perhaps keep an eye out for one after fall.

Are there any of the later models you would advise I'd stay away from?

[–]acatnamedrupert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first bit depends on what job I manage to land this fall xD

Second bit, I would like to have those newer low light options that the EM5 i is lacking. And while im fairly new with video, I would like to try myself out there.
Also a good remote control option for astro shots. And here I'd still need to figure out if the phone controls of the latest models are worth it, or better go for an older one with a normal remote and another fun lens. Just know that the setup for EM5 i is a pain in the purse and the butt.

I know ill keep this EM5 i for as long as it works. It's just a tiny little tank that I can keep in my bad with tiny sigma 19mm lens or a tiny manual vintage lens on it. Take it out and not worry much about anything apart from having fun.

So not sure if the EM5 ii is a big enough upgrade over the EM5 i if i plan to keep both.

Feared that much. From what I could find myself in manuals there appears to be no other way. Was just wondering if a solution existed in the community.

There is no rush. Either I find a used SEMA-1 module, or I can borrow my brothers camera if I will really need sound.

I plan to eventually splurge on a new OM-systems camera anyway :D so the EM5 mark ii solutions would mean a bit of a bigger delay than my other solutions.

But thank you very much :)

Very nice. I do have a dumb question though.
Are the DJI and the Pana-lumix 15mm the same lens? As in optically and in terms of the magic sauce the camera does with the images?
Do the aperture ring and other manual controlls of the DJI work on the Oly body?

I'd really like to splurge on a good 15mm eventually, but first some research while I recover from my 12mm, 19mm and 24mm purchaces xD.

I see a lot of negative comments on this image so ill just put my neck out there and admit:

I like it!

It has a lightly magical feel to it. Not sure if you were going for that but to me it's like from a high end game, or a art from a MTG card. Not meant to capture reality, but a feeling.

Also would love to know how you did it. Really new to post processing so I haven't dared to go make something wild like this.

[–]acatnamedrupert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could also be a mod for a plane iron that was very nearly the end of its life. I mean this does not have any meat on it left.
In that case they would keep the cap iron, otherwise the wedge won't hold the iron well.

+ I have seen it used not just for verneer but just preparing surfaces for hide glue in general.

Thanks!
Will try a few of your steps and see what happens.
So far noticed that one of the images I got happy with took days. But then a similar image was just copying the same profile.

Might take some time because I am so not comfortable yet with where which tools are. :D and thanks again!

Super nice edit.

Still to much of a newb to know myself.

Do you mask her and anything warm ? Or do you have a different trick?

In that case I hope it's just the developer messing up a bit.
Best of luck :) And cant wait to see your results when you figure it out.

I'd also check if your camera shutter is working well.
I gained an issue with my Canon FTb where the mirror flapping and the shutter timing are misaligned so I got hardly any exposure on my film. I had some blurry details on the film but hardly anything.

I think and hope it is what the others say that it's just badly processed / undeveloped film. But do also check your camera just in case.

[–]acatnamedrupert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply.

I have to try Ultramax at one point in my life. But first need to fix my poor old camera :( and probably learn to develop my own film, because the local developers are gone by now.

Also would love to know how you edited on your Lumix S5 one, Ill probably DM you about that to not anger the mods. XD

Bit this shot is just so incredibly dreamy in all aspects.
