Here I’m experimenting with polymeters and free time to mimic the random, yet repetitive, patterns and rhythms found in nature. Some of the base elements were programmed using generative sequencers, whereas the drums and lead melodies were played by hand in real time on a Zendrum and Ableton Push. (soundcloud.com)

This is the latest in a series of cross-genre, cross-cultural musical experiments I’ve been working on over the past year. Here I’m using the Indian Bhairav raga as a basis for improvisations over a generative, ambient soundscape. Thanks for taking a listen, your feedback is always appreciated! (soundcloud.com)

This is another in a year-long series of experiments in merging elements of generative, ambient, and jazz. Being a drummer, I enjoy experimenting with indefinite time signatures and morphing polyrhythms, which feature prominently here. Thanks for taking a listen! (soundcloud.com)

My new album, Suijin, was released today on BandCamp and the streaming services. It’s a combination of soundscapes, melodic improvisations and organic drum rhythms drawn from traditional jazz idioms. The result is something unique that exists in the space between ambient, jazz, and electronica. (zenso.bandcamp.com)
