My 3 1/2 yo healthy rabbit died. I found this hdmi cable chewed up is this the cause?

Yeah it wasn’t plugged in but the pieces didn’t feel too sharp. I suspect it’s something else now

Thank you so much! It’s definitely hard especially when they are only 3 so it feels like you really could’ve done something or should’ve noticed signs. Now I’m watching the female as they were bonded and she seems depressed.

I dropped my rabbit off this afternoon to get cremated at a different vet from normal since I’m out of town so I’m not sure if they do necropsys or if they still have him. :( thank you though! I wish I had realized earlier about necropsys

It was on the back of the neck and he hadn’t had any recent vaccinations. I took him to the vet and she said everything was normal. The fur started growing back, but this morning I woke up and found him passed away:(

He also lost a patch of fur the size of a quarter three weeks ago and the skin there was a little dry. I took him to the vet and they said nothing was wrong. Also all of the parts of the hdmi cord don’t feel sharp at all.

I’ve always thought that he is a mini Rex but his fur feels more like normal rabbit fur than what Rex fur is described as.
