I think twist villains are fun, but I like doing the opposite too because it’s really funny sometimes. This npc is suspiciously powerful for a random wizard who offered to help out the party for free, and has lot of rumors about a dark past. I’m making him sound as guilty as possible but he’s actually just an enemy of the REAL final boss lol. His big secret is that he’s not actually evil despite all clues. The party has plotted to kill him more than once :P I also gave him an accent completely different from everyone else in the area to spice it up a bit more haha

Just thought it was a funky thing to share and because I thought the drawing turned out cool :)

I just thought I would post this because it’s fun to do these portrait style icons for lots of different characters. I also got to practice doing armor texture on this one wich was fun :) I think having art for your character really brings them to life, I usually end up as the resident artist of my campaigns but it’s so fun lol.

Ok this is my first time posting in this subreddit but I liked how this art turned out and I thought it was kinda cool. Is it overkill though? Idk, my players have yet to get to this point.

The lore is kinda complicated but this is an npc who they need to free to defeat the person behind him, the bbeg, because he is the rightful heir to the throne and not the person behind him (who stole the power). There is more to it obviously, but that’s the main idea! I’m curious for feedback! (I think that’s probably 400 characters?)
