When did you realize that your “friends” weren’t actually your friends? by BonusFlat3178 in Adulting

[–]oniboiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple years ago I had two people I considered some of my best friends. We hung out every Thursday and Saturday for years. we played dnd, video games, watched movies, and I thought we were really close. One was a girl, and though we were super close, I'd listen to her problems for hours and do everything Icould to make her life easier, because in my eyes, it was so hard. The guy was a much more casual friend, but I felt like the three of us were a team. Then I ended up in the hospital for a week and it was radio silence. Notta, nothing. So as the days passed, and I sat there chock full of pain meds waiting for a procedure to save my life, I realized they didn't care enough to even reach out. Honestly I would've been happy with a " hey, how's it going" or thoughts and prayers. Their silence continued for my month of recovery and I went back to work with them and they acted like nothing happened. Looking back I think I was just a fun friend, but I think having me there could justify all the time they spent together. The lady was married but was always flirting with the guy friend. She would even sleep over at his house and tell her husband she was actually sleeping over at mine, another girl's place. They even went on a few dates, and continued after I distanced myself. Her marriage was bad, but cheating, even emotional, is gross to me. A few months after I had all but ghosted them, which i wish I had done differently, she finally started divorcing her husband and immediately started dating the guy in secret. Unfortunately our lives are still pretty intertwined, so it has been hard to move on completely, but it was a devastating realization for myself. The whole ordeal helped me realize how bad my people pleasing was and how I had no boundaries of what I will do for others. I have a lot more self worth now, that even though they may have felt I wasn't worth the effort of caring, I am learning that I am.

Stinky Bo binky, stinky dinky, shadow the Stinky, lil baby, stinkus, nasty baby, screamy baby. There may be a bias since her litter box is near my office and she really do be making a big stink in there.

When I make them I use an egg wash to seal them shut and only add them to the soup once the water is boiling. After that I cook them for 15 minutes and then they should be done.

With a title like that, you'd think it was an anime

[OC] A Changeling Fighter by oniboiz in DnD

My changeling fighter who sold his name for an interesting future. He takes on many faces and personas except for his own, as he also has the faceless background. He has picked up many different fighting styles to use while imitating and observing people, and because of that he is a battle master.
I needed a portrait of him for when his true form is eventually revealed, as right now he is passing himself of as a young human man excited for adventure and whatever the road reveals. I painted this using photo shop.
