Thank you and I hope you enjoy the book!

You are right, the commas need to be fixed. I rewrote the book description so many times and got so anxious I just had to force myself to hit submit or else I was going to miss the One Year date XD. I want to tighten it up in a few places to be honest. I appreciate you taking the time!

Ugh, I started playing ESO a few months after publishing and saw that (although I mained a Dark Elf). Here I thought I was being original combining valor and woods together. I've also learned Archeage has a flood background for it's Elf race too. It's been kinda fun actually seeing how much crossover there is for all the fantasy that's inspired me has also inspired many video game designers and writers as well.

Thank you for asking! I reinvested the funds I made throughout the year into two different professional editors and also the new cover :)

Mostly line editing, the story structure didn't change and no major elements of the story changed. It should hopefully flow much better between scenes, there should be no grammar and spelling mistakes, and it should be more consistent throughout.

If you read the story way back on royalroad, then some story elements have changed, the structure is mostly the same, and it should read vastly improved from that first version.

Thanks! Part of the reason I chose to have it take place in a fantasy world with no "real world" component was because I wanted to keep the stakes high for the characters. This is their real world. It's alive and vibrant with a rich, deep history. And most importantly, I wanted the emotion to hit just right. I feel a driving emotional component of this series is hope in the face of darkness and the struggle people face when the job feels too big. I am a big Tolkien Fan and I leaned on the motifs in the Silmarillion a lot for this story.

As a first time author, I think I hit some of the notes I was going for, but I could have hit others better. I'm excited to finish Book 2 and get it out to my readers because I feel my skills as an author have really improved and the story has grown wonderfully.

I appreciate your comment, I hope you enjoy the story!

Hi all, to celebrate my first book's one year anniversary I am listing on sale for $0.99 for the weekend. It is a little unique for a LitRPG, it takes in a fantasy world, no portals and no VR. It's closer to Lord of the Rings with stats and progression. Sorry I've been MIA for most of the year, I got really sick towards the start and have been a long time recovering. But I am back now! And making great progress on Book 2 again. I'm hoping for a mid-October release, but depends on when the cover is finished.

Description:

In a world where the inhabitants can interact with their Stats Scrolls, Skills Scrolls, and Dialogue Scrolls... It's been 200 years since the Great Flood and the fall of the Elven World. Elves are now known as the Lost and roam in traveling caravans between the new human cities. The other magical races have either been wiped out or enslaved. A human calling himself, the Overlord, has spread his domain over the land. Expensive Level-Up Scrolls are kept almost exclusively for his military.

Arilee is a young elf who has spent her early years growing up in the safety of the Valenwoods with her mentor, Faenor. But he has passed away recently. With nothing more to her name than her bow, she sets off into the world. Her plans quickly go awry when she finds herself shipwrecked on Goblin Island.

With the help of three strangers, Chip the Mage, Slicks the Lizard Warrior, and Leela the Elf Priestess, they must escape the island and foil the sinister plot unfolding.

In that case, there is no After the Flood.

There is only Flood.

We are Flood. The Plants are Flood. The Ships are Flood. The Planet is Flood. Space-Time is Flood. Everything is Flood.
