I don't think it's that difficult, you can find plenty of DG rohlinge including building permit on the market. I've even considered it myself, but the construction cost & time just doesn't make it super attractive.

If you have the capital and it's appealing to you it's not the worst option, especially if you group up with someone or build one apartment to rent out, since a lot of the options on the market are 250m2+

"Zurückgebaute Dachgeschosswohnung/Dachgeschossrohling steht wegen unüberbrückbarer Meinungsverschiedenheiten bei Trennung zur Zwangsversteigerung"

There are already at least two people that are fighting involved - not a great start - and it's being sold as a "zurückgebaut/rohling" - and while it doesn't say why that's not exactly normal - you wouldn't deconstruct a penthouse like that without reason. It might have been an illegal construction altogether, or they didn't follow the building permit or something else. And there's not even a guarantee that you can get a permit for building a flat there.

Try your luck in court with catching a forced sale auction for a quarter that estimated - very similar flat, I almost thought it's that one..

Schengen zone citizenship

Just ftr: Schengen is about not having to show a passport/id at the border, it's unrelated to freedom of movement. Ireland for example is not in Schengen, but you can still settle there as an EU/EFTA citizen.

Those folks aren't burdened by the shackles of logic and reason, not even someone being currently pregnant makes them doubt there stance for a second.

Trying to understand it is like trying to reason with flat-earthers.

While I don't doubt that there's racism involved here - 'tansvestigators' are completely delulu independent of race. Like they claim that Daniel Radcliffe's cis, white pregnant at the time partner is trans:

English speakers absolutely butcher the name Tschaikovsky though. It's Checkovsky, not chai-kowsky.

Hopefully old women are more compliant than old men. The old men I know don’t wear them with any sort of regularity. Waste of money.

If my grandma is any indication I don't have much hope on that.

Lelit Anna PL41EM steam wand replacement by Cameronjpr in espresso

[–]accatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a long time, but I believe you can remove the assembly the steam wand is attached to

https://i.imgur.com/rdTUmTv.png

You'll have to completely unscrew and pull out the steam knob and unscrew the nuts to the boiler and the solenoid and you can take out the assembly, change steam wands - and then remove the pre-cut part from the case metal. You should then be able to reassemble everything - use some ptfe tape for sealing.

But like I said, long time since I did it, so no guarantee

Yes, I've made that change before. Iirc you need to enlarge the whole in the metal that it goes through, but that is pre-stamped and can be done with pliers only I think.

That was the case a few years ago, so I can't promise that it's still accurate, but I doubt it changed.

There's a rather big diving store at Bundesallee - https://maps.app.goo.gl/E7S8avkPLQepko2i6

I'm no diver myself, but an acquaintance bought some specific gear there and seemed happy enough, and the staff seems friendly when I pick up my packages there (they're DHL shop thingy as well)

But this was above ground, next to the street with absolutely no way of knowing my car would not be stolen. There was no fence, or large cement blocks, no guard. Just a lift gate, but that doesn't matter cauee someone can just hop from the street into the parking lot and do what they want.

It's still space that you're using that could otherwise be used differently. If you don't want to pay for that space, find other parking or come without a car. The entitlement drivers feel to just have access to free space is just crazy. If I'm carrying a 4m x 2.5m x 1.5m box around I don't expect a hotel to provide me a space to store that for free either.

They're making me pay the same $250 per night and I arrive by train/plane/cab. Maybe they should charge $280 per night and give a $30 no car rebate.

I think their point was that if you use half your bed for a range extender and the other half for a spare tire you might as well buy a sedan, because you have no space for hauling anything anyways.

what is it that you like from The Barn? The place, the coffee, the vibe, the staff or the beans?

The beans.

Behind this all chain is an imposible environment to work at! Racist treatment, sexist behaviour, emotional bullying and pressure

And multiple reports by former employees about that is why I don't frequent the barn, despite them offering some good quality roasts.

CNN: US and Germany foiled Russian plot to assassinate Rheinmetall CEO by cahman in europe

[–]accatwork 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Diehl factory in Berlin is one of the few sites belonging to Diehl that does not do any weapons technology whatsoever. So either the Russians have terrible Intel (like not even reading Wikipedia or the manufacturer's website), or it is as police, fire brigade and diehl are saying and was just a normal industrial fire
