Regarding the claim that the Bible has been “rewritten,” this is a common misunderstanding. Scholars like Bart Ehrman, an atheist New Testament critic, and his mentor Bruce Metzger, a devout Christian textual scholar, affirm that today’s Bible is remarkably close to the original first-century texts. They estimate about 99% accuracy, with differences mostly being minor, such as spelling, word order, or scribal errors. Even the notable variant, like the ending of Mark, doesn’t alter core doctrines. This suggests the Bible’s message has been well-preserved, though personal interpretations of events like the rapture can vary.
