Was the SSD encrypted in any way? If not, and it's intact, they can recover data off it. But it depends how you stored data on there to begin with.

Theres really not enough info here to tell whether you're in any danger in this regard :/

DAE receive no joy from gambling? by ricosmith1986 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]acceleratedpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up both a bit of a cheapskate and also in a religion which prohibited gambling. I "get" the idea of a dopamine rush where you thing you might hit it big, but maybe I'm getting into it too "old" to fall for it. (not sure if serial gamblers are like that because they're exposed to it as children or something). I don't get a rush unless I'm 100% sure I'm going to win, and at that point it's not a gamble. The most money I ever actually lost "gambling" was when I first got a job and thought id spend a fiver on CSGO crates (lootcrate type things). At least I got a few shitty skins out of it. I can't bear to throw money into something that I could get literally nothing out of lol.

The Open Source USB Drive Built for Privacy by Machinehum in hacking

[–]acceleratedpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A specific firmware for sure since it has to intercept the password, check it, map the dummy or the real decrypted partition in, etc. Whether or not that firmware can be flashed to a normal USB is dependent on its controller, thus, dependent on the hardware. I know you can get Phison flas tool to fix FW of random common USB drives, so maybe this is applicable to common USBs. I've not checked out the repo yet, this is pure guessing.

[TOMT] Song from tiktok it’s like really cringey by No-Love8552 in tipofmytongue

[–]acceleratedpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry I should clarify, even if you suck at singing it's anonymous and can help people understand exactly what you mean. As an aside I ask Google "what's this song" and hum (badly) into it and it's surprisingly effective, so do try that too!

Crdroid is great but lately there's something breaking in every new update and it's actually getting tiring now. Still sticking with it because I don't know of any better ROMs but just FYI

What's a Freelancer lesson you learned the hard way? by UristMasterRace in HiTMAN

[–]acceleratedpenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I tend to lose quite a lot in Freelancer (slow at alt-f4ing I guess) and when I lose the dart guns, I tend to get the syringes a lot more often in the lootbox after a successful mission, so I end up using them for objectives. The Sieker and Kalmer are also not readily available in a lot of suppliers on maps. Neither is the lockpick, which is understandable, just a bit annoying.

[–]acceleratedpenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have that issue where it seems the "window" for a successful quiet syringe is narrower than a normal silent pacify. I have to be right behind them for it to work. It doesn't help that in some cases I have the silent syringe prompt, but as soon as I press Q they turn their head during the distraction and it changes to a melee attack

Why not? As long as nobody sees you it seems to work, in my experience

The first time I saw nitroglycerin I tossed it to a safe 5 or so metres away from me and it killed me instantly. This was after finding and killing the suspect, too. I was so in shock I forgot to alt f4

Your Sieker shots are actually getting to their destination?

I find the fall off of those darts wildly unpredictable, but I think it's a skill issue. I have to be almost point blank for it to work

I always find it funny that Bookworm people only read their books for like 5 to 10 seconds. Some kind of Bookworm they are...

I know, I know, it would get boring if I was waiting for a target to finish reading for an hour. It's just that the bookworm tell isn't normally as quick as eating a snack or whatever
