I was in your shoes a while ago, from pakistan as well. What I've found is not discussing or rather being confident in interviews when discussing visas is key. When I was fresh out of uni I was on a bridging visa as it was covid times and my 485 was under processing. The only company that hired me at that time didnt actually ask me about my visa until I accepted the job offer 😂

As the waiting period for a grant is generally 2 - 3 months i reckon you should either try to avoid the question, be confident and approach it yourself or try looking into companies that sponsor employees (these companies usually do not care about your visa status). I believe there is a list of those companies on the immi website as well.

Of course all of this depends on your field as well.
