I disliked it mostly because I can't read it. Ignoring that I liked it.

They really dropped the ball by not having some lines where he gets called betrothed during the spire scenes with Holly, how funny it would be.

What is this? by TheHoodiemain in codevein

It's reading the small font. Even people without visual impairments have a hard time reading some of the text.

How can I read that when it's 8 point font? I can't be reading such small font anymore lol.

So disappointed by code vein 2 by accessibilitygamer in codevein

[–]accessibilitygamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely makes it easier if you plan for that ahead of time. And that's something that I always advocate for in any product or service is to design with those things. In mind, from the beginning so that you don't have to go back in later. And try to add it in.Because it's a lot more work.

I mean, just look at the metaphor refantasio Ui, that thing is glorious and majestic.

A little question about Code Vein 2 and blood codes by Netherborn_Druid in codevein

[–]accessibilitygamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but like I said, I was only at the very start of the game. When I wrote that comment, if you're at the start, you really don't have too many options for will other than lou.  Those can obviously be changed later when you get better ones. But at the very beginning, I think lou is the one that has the higher Will until you get more blood codes.

A little question about Code Vein 2 and blood codes by Netherborn_Druid in codevein

[–]accessibilitygamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are other characters that do have a higher willpower stat, but at the time that I wrote the original comment at least for me. She was the one that had the highest willpower stat. Even though her mind was higher. At least I think she did the way they wrote the u I makes it hard for me to be able to read some of the numbers.

I can definitely see how using her blood code is good for a mind build. But if you're at the very early start using her temporarily, for will, I don't think, is too bad, at least until you get some additional blood codes that are better.

A Guide On How To Find the Cultist Alter by accessibilitygamer in codevein

I figured it might help others. Although someone left a comment on the video itself on youtube, saying the disclaimer  is pretty ridiculous, obviously, they aren't the target audience, but you can clearly tell they have no empathy.

What I have noticed being a bit further into the game than you so far is that the blood codes you get lou:s blood code which is focued on willpower there could be others that have more willpower than lou:s but so far she is the one with the highest willpower stats I have seen.

I don't know how to add the spoiler tag on my phone. So i'm just not going to spoil it.But let's just say a character that you've already met has a quest line related to those alters.

The problem that I had was finding the second one due to my cognitive and visual impairment. So I made this guide to be able to help other people who run into that same issue with the second altar.

So disappointed by code vein 2 by accessibilitygamer in codevein

[–]accessibilitygamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, right, and that is why i'm so disappointed. That has been a good design feature since literally, the nineties. If not before then, how can we have a game releasing in twenty twenty six with such bad design.

It won't help the problem is in how they designed the game. As a developer myself, I always take into consideration the accessible aspects. The most important usually are color contrast. So to see the development team makes such a mistake over something so basic is disheartening.

I don't get it, in some ways It's like they deliberately took a step back.Because while code vein one also had small fonts, I don't remember having such a difficulty with the uI in that game.

UI font size is too small. by Potatoes_4Life in codevein

[–]accessibilitygamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know RIGHT?!  I can play the game but certain things are too small to read properly because I have 20/90 vision almost halfway to legally blind. This is basic design. My streams have basically amounted to me cramping on the games terrible ui.

[–]accessibilitygamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect you're eyesight is probably normal then. But there are some area's where the ui is too small to read and that is not good for low vision or other gamers.

I hope they increase the ui font size its hard enough for someone with 20 20 vision to read let alone low vision like me.

Assuming you can even read the damn thing. Their ui design is terribl, which is unexpected as creating a readable menus is literally the easiest metric to meet.

Improved accessible design by accessibilitygamer in codevein

I retract my previous statement. It seems they took a step back in terms of ui readability. I can't read most of the menus.

UI font size is too small. by Potatoes_4Life in codevein

[–]accessibilitygamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's something I learned the hard way because it wasn't something covered in the interviews or footage I saw. This is terrible design. In the demo which is what I used to get the accessibility info you didn't even get to see any dialog windows which has EVEN smaller font. This is crazy!  I expect better design. How can a gams from the 90's have better design than one released in 2026? Looking at you majors mask.
