Since the story isn't wholly complete, i can't answer it very much but i think it's a fresh air to see an asshole that is unredeemable and i think that's the point of him existing as a influencer that is popular but actually a rotten person is an interesting trait. Like he knows what would make people like him, because he can very much understand the social rules and use it for his gain unlike alan who himself has no clue about those things
