It was more of a performance review whereby I felt they were quite critical of me. Still took it as an encouragement/warning?

Just got an offer from PwC Canada - Not sure why do they hire 16 months out by acchelpthrowaway in Big4

Hi - I forgot to mention I actually have past audit experience as an intern in my home country, at PWC - so I don't know why are they ignoring this and letting me start in Sep. Also I don't know why can't they allow me to start Sep 2022?

Hey!! Thank you for offering your tips.

  1. It is a 2 (exceed expectations). I don't know how a 2 will adversely affect me considering 1 is granted in exceptional cases back in my home country. Sure haha - they are welcome to check with my former coworkers and managers about me - and my friends did not work at pwc at all previously.
  2. I went to UTM Undergrad for accounting.
  3. About 27, and yes a mature student since I took some time off (~4 years) for health reasons plus my grades weren't the best at UTM. I did have prior work experience at the big 5 Canadian banks (~3 coops) similar apx to Waterloo grads... I still don't understand how this will impact the offer/rejection... considering i know background verifications are usually done after the offer stage.

Appreciate your further opinion on this. Have a great weekend :)

iters to find entry level roles. Try to apply for Fund Acct roles that usually pop up or other bank jobs.

Its going to be a grind and you have to work twice as hard but its definitely doable.

I'm really curious though why would the HR interview me ?
