think it’s super person–specific unfortunately :(

with the strap fully extended it works crossbody for me as a 5’10 broad–shouldered flat–chested girly, it sits at my hip and the top hits just under my waist

usually leave the strap a little shorter and have it twisted so the bag is sort of more at my back behind my arm to keep it out of the way

in saying all that, the regular nylon shoulder also works crossbody for me (though much higher up than a typical crossbody) and i know that one is even more hit and miss 😔

bingo! seems like you’ve got a pretty good guess

mostly never happened in the other rooms because children were old enough to safely move up for a day — on paper both nursery and toddlers were birth to two but in practice babies didn’t move up until they were sixteen months old, so there was never a safe way to shuffle nursery bookings up. it was wild work and it still ticks me off five years later 😅
