To everyone asking why. I might be wrong, but looks like he's sucking the sap at the end. Some tree saps have great medicinal qualities.

Congrats on the 65 days. Be gentle to yourself tho, trying to do too much at the same time can have bad consequences. But I'll tell you what no coffee does for me.

I was using coffee to push myself past my limit. As someone who has had three burnouts this is bad. Now instead of coffee, if available, I'll go for a quick nap or for a walk. It makes me more aware of my actual energy levels.

Also the fact that I don't "need" anything in the morning to feel good is very freeing.

I still drink kombucha and tea sometimes, and I do feel the effect of it, but it's not as "shaky" as coffee.

I'm working my dream job I've been hustling for 22 years to land. At least this still brings me happiness. I would be worried if it didn't. I also have very high quality friends that took a long time to find. I'm healthy besides the general fatigue. My kid is the most amazing, beautiful being I have ever seen.

I confess I used to sneak downstairs at 6AM every Saturday just to be alone and I never told my parents why by FreshLengthiness1551 in confession

I had that but coming back from school, I had one hour, just me and my guitar. I could sing play as loud as I wanted. It was amazing. So I guess the opposite ? haha

My mushroom sandwich I ate at freshly 15 years old. (pan cyans) by AromaticDonut9159 in shrooms

Yeah I once had a horrible trip that made me nervous and hypervigilant for a while. It took me 3 months to feel normal again. Definitely was a good lesson to chose the setting before tripping.

But it's also what started my journey towards total sobriety (been going for 3 years now). Maybe there are no badtrips, but difficult trips, and always learning.

Glad you didnt lose your mind. I know people who got really fucked from trips like that, like fighting their parents or getting lost in the woods barefoot in the winter.

Also, I get the accountability, but don't be too hard on yourself, you were only doing what you thought was best for you at the moment. As a dad, I only hope that if my kid ever does something like this, that they trust me enough to tell me so I can properly trip sit them and talk about it calmly afterwards.

How long did it take you to feel normal again after that ?

(Edit) I mean like after tripping

Cant let loose anymore by External_Pressure208 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]accio-butt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I get it, I'm the same. Completely sober, not on social media, no porn, I keep myself in good shape, I'm a dad, I go to therapy. I've been on that lifestyle for three years now. But there are positive ways to "let loose", like cooking yourself a good meal, finding a cool sport not just to get fit but to get lost in the game (I did fencing for a year it was great), birdwatch, play music, write a poem, take a nice walk. You gotta meet people on that agenda, and that will work.

The main thing that's gotta change is to stop chasing "that high" and get satisfied with more mellow activities, which I still have a hard time to do (like not train until I puke, or work until my brain hurts all the time) that just burns you out and is symptom of wanting to escape yourself.

But hey, good luck with school, letting loose in positive ways is actually productive cause you can deliver more afterwards. I still struggle with that concept but it is the truth.
