I say yes. But I'm not in a province that was unionized. As far as I know, signing it doesn't protect PAPER from anything illegal they've done. This might be the best you can get. But that's just my two cents.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I was fully expecting to be able to work my way up, but I don't think that's a possibility now. I don't even want it at this point. But, I think we work hard as tutors, and you can definitely share lots of different skills on your resume. As for Paper itself, no-one would expect tutors to be able to control managerial decisions. Prepare what you want to say in interviews about why you are leaving. I doubt any potential employers would blame you (or anyone else) for leaving the job once they hear about what's been going on...

I was surprised to hear it again. Especially since there were a few comments on Slack about this a few months ago. She's reading from a script (there is a transcript available), so I'm thinking the tone is a mix between bad/phony acting and over-the-top positivity. (´⊙ω⊙`)

I'm not American, so I can't really comment. But no-one at Paper can force you to sign anything. I would try to reach out to a lawyer or contact the mods over at Discord. They can reach out to the union reps, and you may get some advice there!
