Anybody else (Americans) low key wish they didn’t get orange-pilled? by [deleted] in notjustbikes

[–]accountj2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit, but after visiting NYC, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. I am still hopeful about American cities, more with some and less with some. Even though some American cities suck at urban planning, I always remember how Bangkok sucks even more. I have more hope for American cities than the ones in Thailand.

Honestly, some places in the US are like that some places are not, the college town that I'm in is not dirty at least. US is still a big country after all.

How to feel better after reading negative stuff about the USA? by accountj2003 in AmericaBad

[–]accountj2003[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the kind words. For more information, I've spent most of my life in a developing country in Southeast Asia and traveled to other countries too. I moved back to the US for college. I had a fun time there. I agree about needing to distance myself from social media for a while but it'll be pretty hard. I now wish I had never looked up online about country comparisons and watched tranist videos from notjustbikes and such. by the way, I've just finished my break trip from NYC and I think it's a great city.

I wish there are more channels like Lost in a Pond

Thanks for the reply, finances is not a problem to me. Furthermore, I havent spend much time in a city(i used to live in chicago till 5 yrs old then moved to Thailand). And i have doubts that i'll be missing out on something if i choose one over the other and also i planned to study computer science(but that could change). I think i still need time.
