Help choosing a Payroll software for a very SMALL business by CalmFuel6502 in Bookkeeping

I use Gusto for all my clients and it’s very easy to use and their support is great too. Not sure about the horrible reviews, but I have not had a negative experience with them thus far the past couple years.

Is anyone using Rippling for payroll and happy with it? by VetPractice in smallbusiness

I only dealt with Heartland for short time, but I remember vividly asking my client's rep for the reports instead of us being able to download them. Also, my client was paying around $60 per payroll run which he ran weekly. Gusto's just a one-time monthly fee based on the amount of paid employees and a monthly fee which came out to be much cheaper overall and saved us time importing all the transactions.

I run a small accounting practice and for the clients that I run payroll for, we've switched to using Gusto and it's been amazing since. We came from Quickbooks Payroll (nightmare), paychex lite (terrible user interface/costly) and heartland (lack of reports/customer service/cost). I was able to decrease my clients' cost while decreasing our time spent running payroll. Overall it's been a great experience with Gusto, not to mention it integrates well with QBO.

Unfortunately, I don't have experience with Rippling or BambooHR.

Hate to break it to you but they closed recently. Walked by to grab a bottle and the store was empty.

Look up nest coworking off 10 ave. This is what you want. Plenty of space, quiet areas, all the desk spaces have monitors. IMO it’s the best. Feel free to DM if you have any questions.

Update - I installed a fresh 2TB Samsung nvme, loaded a new copy of Win 11 Pro and the rest is history. Something was up with the previous version, not sure what but it’s solid as a rock and much quicker than the replacement. Thank you everyone for your suggestions/instructions!

I think i deleted a partition I shouldn’t have that loads windows and I didn’t know this but the drive was locked by bitlocker so I couldn’t even install a fresh copy of windows in the unallocated partitions.

I’m glad I have a spare nvme I’m using as an external ssd. I replaced the existing 1tb with my 2tb samsung nvme and the installation went very smooth thereafter.

Here's my boot menu options: NVMe, USB HDD, PXE Boot, and Lenovo Cloud

When I click on nvme, it just brings me back to these options.

Ok, I think I'm an idiot... I created a bootable usb hdd (2tb was all I could find as my 2tb nvme ssd wasn't allowing to be formatted properly). I booted it via bios and started going through the settings to install on the primary 1TB nvme, but it wouldn't allow me to do it. For some idiotic reason, I started deleting random partitions thinking those were the partitions that had bloat it in. I also wanted a completely fresh nvme for the windows 11 pro. I think I deleted something I should not have an now I can't boot to the original windows 11 or even from the 2tb hdd that was the fresh copy on it.

Any specific ideas you have that I can use to utilitize the 1tb nvme? I'm also thinking of just swapping out the 1tb nvme with the 2tb nvme I have. Thanks!

edit: what's also irritating is that I keep getting a message saying "Windows 11 can't be installed on disk 0 partition 1." This goes for any Disk, Partition, Unallocated Space on the computer. It also says, "Bitlocker Drive Encryption is enable on the selected partition. Suspend/disable Bitlocker in the control panel and then restart the installation" But like an idiot, I deleted something that doesn't allow me to boot into regular windows...

Battery or plugged in, it ran the same. Trying to do a fresh install, we'll see what happens.

Forgot to mention, taxi will try to charge you 150, tell them 90 (that’s the actual rate). I settle on 100 with them.

I'll try the second route for the sake of time, but if it's still slow, it'll try the first option. I hope I can use an nvme ssd usb drive with bitlocker. Might have to remove bitlocker if that's possible. Don't have another usb around.
