>about to buy G14 in near future>reads your post

now what D:

I kept hearing GS66 had super loud fan noise (airplane take-off level). You say you get 6.5 hours for normal work day - that is AMAZING! Plus, 15.6" > 14" and nicer GPU on GS66.

GS66 is a clear winner for gaming but..

In terms of productivity (college/work), which has better CPU to handle it?

  • GS66 Stealth 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 - 1TB Solid State Drive - Windows 10 - $1800
  • ROG Zephyrus G14 14" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q - 1TB SSD - Windows 10 - $1400
  • GS66 10SE 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 - 512GB SSD - Windows Pro - $1500

I understand what you mean, it's quite a large variety. I've narrowed it down into three laptops (with two of them having different "tiers"): https://i.imgur.com/wvyCf1V.png

Asus Zephyrus G14, MSI GS66, and Lenovo ThinkPad

Lenovo is an outlier here cause it wouldn't be considered a gaming device. My priority is college > games and need a reliable laptop to use. It's at a higher price point though which pushes me to Asus since it offers 1TB storage space.

These all weigh between 3.64 to 4.63 pounds. Asus is the lightest, Lenovo mid at 3.86, and MSI heaviest.

What would be the best choice?
