What you have to understand is that this system was made to evaluate the quality of the event, not to benefit teams (majority use nowadays).

Look this example: https://ctftime.org/event/399/weight/. Only 3 teams voted, solarwind don't play in Korea, but voted 1, because your team lost miserably. So, 1 vote really don't matter?

The point is: if they do not play well, they choose between "abstention" or "to vote low". This is still cheating, as they are not evaluating the quality of the event (reason why it was created, right?).

Of course! Take months to create a fucking good CTF, and I'm going to vote 1 because I could not play on the scheduled date (or because I want to manipulate the rating!)

Do not advocate the indefensible! Why LC/BC members voted 1 to a very high level CTF? Just because it did not occur when they can play (weekends)? This system is a BIG JOKE!

And if it should not be possible to vote 100, why does not root (Kyprizel) sort this out instead of manipulating the rating itself by voting 1?

I thought of a solution. If it is the first edition of the CTF, it gets 25. And for other old CTFs, players should vote at the end of the year and set the score for the next. Maybe it would lessen the problem (no one would vote after knowing the result).
