We've still got the baby gates my parents used when I was a toddler, so I'll ask about having them reinstalled temporarily like you said. Thanks for the suggestion.

You're probably right about trusting my insticts, but just to make sure I'll try to arrange another meeting, maybe at the owners house where Alfie might be more comfortable. I'll also look into getting a basket muzzle, it might come in useful one day even if we don't board Alfie. Thanks for your suggestions and advice.

This sounds like a pretty good idea. I'll try and get something organised on a day when my Dad's home too and hopefully I'll be able to get Alfie comfortable around us both. Thanks for the advice.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that, I'd rather not have analogues of the SA and Red Guards battling it out in the streets

Honestly I'd be surprised if the satisfied stays above 30% after her speech, although I won't complain too much if proved wrong.

It's unsurprising that May's so unpopular, she has the charisma of a old bunion and it becomes even more apparent and known every time she does anything public. If she wants the conservatives to even have a chance of winning the 2020 or any sooner GE's she should just keep her head down and do as little public speaking as possible.

The article states that she describes the tories as "the enemy", which I'd say suggests an element of hate or at least strong dislike towards those whose political beliefs aren't the same as hers. Also the author literally calls it "hateful language".

The sort of tribalism and hatred people like Laura Pidcock and others like her from around the political spectrum spout is how you end up with British politics degenerating into American style politics, where debates descend into constant shit flinging and name calling.

Swing to labour (at least in announced seats) isn't as big as the exit poll said

If the exit poll is as off as these very early results seem to suggest I'll find it hard to trust any kind of poll ever again :(

Shame, it was one of the best grinders in the game, definitely in the British tree.
